Late Night Train Services for December

Late-night trains to operate for Christmas party season and will also help those working late!Announced; Thursday, 28th November, 2019

Iarnród Éireann has confirmed details of its late-night Christmas services, which will be widely welcomed by seasonal partygoers.

Commencing on Friday, December 6, the services will then run on Saturday, December 7, Friday, December 13, Saturday, December 14, Friday, December 20 and Saturday, December 21.

Details of the late-night services are as follows:

Maynooth Commuter• 00:20hrs and 01.55hrs. Dublin Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth.

Kildare Phoenix Park Tunnel services• 00:50hrs and 01.50hrs from Dublin Pearse, serving Tara Street, Connolly, Drumcondra and all stations from ParkWest Cherry Orchard to Kildare.

Dundalk Commuter• 00:40hrs and 01.40hrs from Dublin Pearse serving Tara Street, Connolly and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk.

DART services• 00:30hrs and 01.30hrs from Dublin Connolly serving all stations to Greystones.• 00:30hrs and 01.30hrs from Dublin Pearse serving all stations to Howth. Fares will be charged at normal rates, meaning customers can use Leapcard and buy cash fares for the best value Christmas travel option. Weekly, monthly and annual season tickets are valid on late night services, so season ticket holders will be able to use late night services at no extra charge.

Late night services will also have security personnel on board to ensure customer safety.

An Iarnród Éireann spokesperson said: “We’re delighted to begin our late-night Christmas services on the three weekends in the run up to Christmas. The trains will once again be hugely popular with late night party-goers who can save on expensive taxi fares.”
