EXPERIENCED DELI ASSISTANT – DUNDALK

We are looking for a skilled, dependable Deli Assistant to join our friendly team in a busy café and deli located in a Dundalk retail park.

This position would suit someone with genuine hands-on deli experience who takes pride in preparing quality food, enjoys working with customers and can remain organised during a busy service.

THE POSITION

• Between 3 and 5 days per week
• Rota operates from Tuesday to Sunday
• Shorter Sunday opening hours: 10:30 am–5:00 pm
• Permanent, on-site position
• Immediate start available

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Preparing fresh sandwiches, wraps, salads and hot food
• Setting up and maintaining an attractive, well-stocked deli counter
• Serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner
• Managing food preparation during busy service periods
• Following HACCP, food-safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
• Monitoring stock levels, rotation, freshness and waste
• Keeping all preparation, service and storage areas clean
• Supporting the wider café team when required

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• At least one year of recent deli, café or busy food-service experience
• Confident preparing both cold and hot food
• Reliable, punctual and committed to scheduled shifts
• Comfortable working at pace without compromising quality
• Strong food-hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• HACCP or recognised food-safety training is desirable
• A recent employment reference will be required
