Physiotherapist, Paediatric Palliative Care
Post: Physiotherapist – Paediatric Palliative Care Salary: Band 7 (£46,148 - £52,809 pro rata) Contract: Permanent Hours: 15 hours per week (There may be potential to increase hours dependent on business needs, however this cannot be guaranteed) Location: Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, Horizon House, 18 O’Neill Road, Newtownabbey, BT36 6WB Role The post holder will be a member of the multidisciplinary palliative care team within the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. They will carry out all duties associated with the provision of Specialist Physiotherapy care. As an autonomous practitioner, often working as the only Physiotherapist on-shift they will undertake physiotherapy assessment, treatment and review of children with life limiting or life-threatening conditions, many of whom will have associated complex healthcare needs. The post-holder will co-lead on service development, innovation, projects, teaching initiatives, supervision and governance of Children’s Palliative Care Physiotherapy. They will take a lead role in the moving and handling training for care team staff and other staff groups as appropriate. The post-holder will have oversight of the hydrotherapy / leisure pool. Casual Food & Beverage Assistant
JOB PURPOSE: The post holder will provide the highest standard of food & beverage services for Mayoral, Civic and public functions. The post holder will provide a high level silver service at weddings, functions and assist with buffet service. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide customers with a high level food and beverage service, ensuring that everything is adhered to within required times and in the appropriate manner. Provide silver service duties at large functions. Prepare the function rooms and bar for service, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the correct standard before the function commences. Provide a table bar service to customers in the various function rooms and bar, as required. Assist with the clean up after functions, including general kitchen duties e.g. clearing tables, glass and cutlery washing, loading/unloading dishwasher, service areas and floors. Carry out similar duties in any other Council facility if required. Act in accordance with all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations and adhere to the Health & Safety policy. Arrive at work at the correct time and in the correct uniform ensuring it is in immaculate condition. Behave in a friendly and hospitable manner to all members, guests, customers and staff. Undertake any other relevant duties that may be required and are commensurate with the nature and grade of the post. BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES –WEST REGION POSTS: SOCIAL CARE WORKERS (Permanent Full Time/Part-Time & Temporary) STROKESTOWN ADULT SERVICES (Strokestown, Tulsk, Elphin and Ballinagare) Ref: 85332 A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled. Locum Social Care Worker roles are also available. Location: Strokestown Adult Services (Strokestown, Tulsk, Elphin and Ballinagare Areas). Staff allocation could be either within residential/respite/day settings or in community services or in an individual’s own home. The appointee will initially commence working in one particular area of the Strokestown Adult services and this work location may change due to future service needs. The Role: Social Care Workers fulfil a key worker supportive and advocative role for individuals supported by the service. The Social Care Worker role is to support the person in all aspects of their life focusing on the individual’s ability and promoting independence and development of skills at all times. The Social Care Worker will assist and support people who use the service with development of their individual person centred plans and the achievement of associated outcomes, and critically, will support people who use the service to make informed choices and fulfil their potential. They will encourage participation in the community through inclusive and creative thinking, seek opportunities for new experiences and encourage positive risk taking in leading to informed choices. The successful candidate will provide leadership and supervision at a local level, ensuring the service delivered is person-centred.
