Senior Dietitian, Cardio Respiratory Specialities
There are over 40 dietitians at the Mater Hospital. The dietitians work with inpatients and outpatients across all the Mater specialties including the National Centre for Cardiothoracic Surgery and Heart and Lung Transplantation, National Centre for Spinal Injuries, Adult National Inherited Metabolic Disorders (IMD) and the National Centre for HIPEC surgery as well as being a Cancer Centre. This Senior Dietitian post in collaboration with the Clinical Specialist dietitian and other dietitians in the cardio respiratory team and MDT will provide high quality nutritional care to patients across a number of wards as well as to patients attending national specialties in the cardio resp service and post transplant CF. We use NCP assessment and diagnosis steps in our work, and include physical assessment. This is an opportunity to join a busy department, and to progress your clinical expertise and career by working in a supportive learning environment. Trauma Coordinator
The Trauma Coordinator role is integral to the holistic case management of patients under the care of the Mater Trauma Service. Their role is to co-ordinate the clinical care of patients through the major trauma service. The post-holder will be a key point of contact and advocate to support patients and their families through the acute trauma pathway, promoting excellent communications whilst supporting the wider multi-disciplinary team (MDT). The role will be part of a team of Trauma Co-ordinators and will continue to develop as the MMUH evolves as the MTC for the Central Trauma Network. Please note, the hours of duty are rostered to provide a 24/7 service.
