The Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision is a 2-year programme that allows you to both work full time in one of our Applegreen stores while also gaining a Level 6 qualification at the same time. The programme combines learning in the workplace with classroom, online and independent learning. Apprentices will attend classroom and online classes 24 days each year from 10am – 5pm. About the role Kerry Dairy Ireland are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Apprentice. What will I be doing? Develop productive working relationships with relevant stakeholders and departments within the business – this will include Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Despatch, Stores, Planning, and Accounts – to ensure that the output and delivery of products are as per customer specifications. Assist with the daily planning of food production, customer supply, and movement of goods throughout Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Liaise with all areas of Management across our sites and the Group to create a good working relationship. Gain a full understanding of all relevant roles and processes with Operations and Production gaining experiential on-the-job learning. Assist the Management where necessary and take on management responsibilities providing support and acting as a point of contact where appropriate. Work with Site Management to reduce costs and increase efficiency. What do I need to be successful in this role? Applicant must meet one of the LAA program entry criteria: H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics. Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g., business, logistics, and distribution, supply chain management, etc.) Excellent organisation skills and time management. Ability to take ownership of queries/issues, bringing them to a successful conclusion. Enthusiastic attitude to the challenge of the role with a positive can-do approach to tasks.
