Music Generation Cavan/Monaghan is a performance music education service in Counties Cavan and Monaghan that provides opportunities for children and young people to access a range of high quality, subsidised vocal and instrumental tuition in their local area. Music Generation Cavan/Monaghan is part of the national programme of Music Generation, which was Initiated by Music Network. Music Generation is co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds, the Department of Education and Youth and Local Music Education Partnerships (LMEPs). Music Generation Cavan/Monaghan is managed locally by Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) and Monaghan and Cavan County Councils. CMETB, as lead partner for Music Generation Cavan/Monaghan, now wishes to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Musicians / Musician Educators to join its panel to deliver the following programmes: 1. Early Years Programme (ages 2-5) A responsive early years’ music-making programme that places creative exploration of meaningful music-making at its core. 2. Schools Programme (ages 5-18) A dynamic and inclusive musicianship programme, which will include the voice as the main instrument for primary schools. Instrumental provision features as part of our programme: this includes various genres of music for both primary & secondary schools 3. Community Music Programme (ages 7-18) A dynamic, multi-genre programme in hubs with structured weekly tuition on various instruments & genres building skills to enable ensemble opportunities for creating and performing. Music Technology programmes will also feature, to address young people’s needs. 4. Inclusive Programme (ages 5-18) An inclusive and progressive music-making programme for children and young people with additional educational needs-including Autism and Asperger’s. This programme will be delivered in schools and in community settings. Musicians / Musician Educators will work with children and young people in group contexts and may work on one or more programmes at any given time. Musician Educators may be required to deliver programmes in person and/or online, as required. Cavan and Monaghan are divided into five regions as follows: · Monaghan Town / Clones (including Scotshouse, Newbliss, Smithborough, Threemilehouse, Glaslough, Tydavnet, Clontibret) · Monaghan South / Cavan East (including Carrickmacross, Castleblayney, Inniskeen, Ballybay, Shercock, Kingscourt) · Cavan Town / Cootehill (including Drung, Stradone, Butlersbridge, Ballyhaise, Redhills, Ballinagh, Crosskeys, Drum, Maudabawn) · Cavan West (including Killeshandra, Loch Gowna, Arva, Belturbet, Ballyconnell, Bawnboy, Swanlinbar, Blacklion) · Cavan South (including Mullagh, Bailieborough, Virginia, Ballyjamesduff, Mountnugent, Killnaleck, Bruskey) Musicians / Musician Educators must be available to deliver tuition at more than one location within a region. Terms and Conditions of Employment Tenure Successful applicants will be offered a Specified Purpose Contract when opportunities arise, in their particular area of expertise. All contracts are subject to sufficient uptake by participants and the continuation of Music Generation funding. Hours Hours of working vary and will be discussed and notified in advance. Tuition and rehearsals may take place within school hours, outside of school hours, during weekends and/or school holidays. Tuition, Meetings and Professional Development The role of a Musician Educator working on Music Generation programmes will require: · delivery of high-quality performance music education (in person and/or online, as required). · attendance at and engagement with Continuing Professional Development and training. · participation in planning and other such meetings as required by the Music Development Officer. · any other reasonable duties as may be determined from time to time. The Musician Educator role will require: · collaboration as a member of the Musician Educator team on the creation of programmes. · creation of online content to support the delivery of work. Garda Vetting and Child Protection policies Inclusion on the panel is subject to Garda Vetting and there being no disclosure of convictions which CMETB considers would render the candidate unsuitable to work with children/vulnerable adults. This process will commence prior to appointment. All successful candidates must participate in Music Generation Cavan/Monaghan’s induction process and Child Protection training. Salary · €42.49 per hour (plus €5.79 holiday pay paid thrice annually - in Spring, Summer, Winter). · Rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Driving Licence: Candidates must hold a full and valid driving licence, with access to own transport. The positions will have the following responsibilities: • Comply with food safety standards to ensure CCP are completed and adhered to in each work location • Conform with Health and Safety rules and regulations • Ensure good plant hygiene standards are maintained in the area you are working • Ensure all CIP are completed. • Documentation control where applicable. • Keep pace with picking flow instead of production flow. The Team Leader role reports to the Production Manager with responsibility for managing and motivating a shift team on a 24/7 operation to achieve Plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including throughput, quality, safety etc. Responsibilities • Manage a team of Production Specialists in a 24/7 operation and act as an escalation point for all team members, resolving any people related issues that may arise on shift • Execute the daily production plan through the management of the production process and associated processes and systems. • Act as key decision maker in relation to production impacting decisions within a shift and escalate issues where necessary • Lead the daily shift handover meeting, ensuring meeting objectives are met and all stakeholders are actively contributing • Conduct a root cause analysis (RCA) on shift where production KPIs have not been achieved • Maximise team understanding in relation to performance against KPIs. Drive team performance through feedback, coaching, counselling • Manage training standards and compliance within the team ensuring achievement of training KPIs • Working with maintenance team, agree priorities relating to maximising plant performance during and across shifts • Ensure standardised procedures are enforced and adhered to, and address any areas of under-performance or non-conformance. Driver
Our Recycling Business Unit currently has a need for an RCV Driver on a permanent basis. The role will be based in Bord na Mona Recycling Navan and will report to the Depot Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and operating hook and chain trucks collecting skips from BNM Recycling customers as required. Also includes from time to time the collection of wheelie bin waste from customers, through driving an RCV (refuse collection vehicle) with helpers emptying bins on designated routes.
