We are looking for a farm techician apprentice to join our team here in Ring, Co Waterford. Having had Dairy students here for the past 13 years, we have a wealth of experience in helping young farmers fulfil their potential. We will help you become technically proficient in all aspects of dairy operations and support you in your learning and progression through to becoming a capable farm technician. This is a spring calving dairy farm. Our goal is to work efficiently and be profitable in a simple grass based system. Measuring and growing grass/clover while attaining a 90% six week calving rate. We are milking 400 cows. Our facilities are modern with a 54 Point Rotary parlour , 420 cubicles, New calving and calf rearing facilities. We have collars for heat detection and health monitoring. We work closely as a team, learning together and supporting one another to make the best decisions. Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice
The Trade of Carpentry & Joinery is very wide and varied. It encompasses most of the skills required by the Wood Trades. These skills required of the Carpenter & Joiner are not confined to those required to work in wood but include skills in the use of metals, plastics and fabrics. The Carpenter & Joiner is also required to work in a cross section of domains within the overall trade. The following are some examples: Joinery Shop: This section of the occupation requires the Carpenter & Joiner to engage in setting out, production and assembling items of joinery which include stairs, doors, windows and built-in furniture. Site Work: Site work is the construction of buildings or houses which require 1st fixing, formwork roofs and 2nd fixing. This section is split into two categories: constructing and civil engineering contracts. Maintenance: Maintenance work requires the Carpenter & Joiner to carry out a variety of tasks in general maintenance and upkeep of public and private buildings, e.g. shops and factories. There are other areas associated with the trade which include renovating buildings, shopfitting, and exhibition/display work.
