Counsellor - Bushypark Addiction Centre - Cocaine Harm Reduction Project We are pleased to announce a new vacancy for a Counsellor (Full-Time Permanent role) within the Bushypark Cocaine Harm Reduction – Health Led Project , based in Ennis, Co. Clare. BUSHYPARK COCAINE HARM REDUCTION – HEALTH LED PROJECT The HSE Social Inclusion funds Bushypark Addiction Treatment Service through the MWRDAF to support clients and family members impacted by cocaine use across the Mid-West CHO 3 area. This funding enables us to focus on ‘Reducing the Health-related Harms from Cocaine’ through our community- based programme ROLE: The Counsellor will provide interventions and counselling to individuals and families impacted by cocaine use and other related issues JOB RELATIONS: The Counsellor will work as part of the Cocaine Initiative Team and will report to the Community Services Manager or designate with support from the Senior Counsellor within the Cocaine Team. Reporting structures are subject to change. JOB LOCATION : Your normal place of work will be based in Bushypark Addiction Centre, Ennis, Co. Clare but you may, if required, be assigned by your Line Manager to other Clarecare offices, or other places of business as your office base, as and when required. You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable. You will be required to travel for work purposes and any reasonable expenses incurred in travelling for work will be reimbursed on a receipted basis, by the Service. Flexibility regarding travel during work hours is required. This is an onsite role. Hybrid/Remote working does not apply. JOB DETAILS: The successful candidate will work as part of the Cocaine Initiative Team in Bushypark and liaise regularly with the overall team in Bushypark. Flexibility and willingness to travel and work outside of normal hours is necessary. Training and supervision will be provided to the successful candidate. CONTRACT TYPE: This is a full-time permanent contract of employment. HOURS OF WORK: The working week is 37.5 hours per week which includes 30 mins daily lunch break. You will normally work on a Monday to Friday basis – 9.30 a.m. – 5pm daily. Some evening work and 1 Saturday morning (3.5 hours) every 4 weeks will be required. Your work days/hours are subject to change depending on project requirements, and flexibility regarding work days/hours is required in this position. Annual Leave: 26 days per annum per full leave year (Jan-Dec) excluding Public Holiday entitlement. Salary: The gross salary per annum is €49,673.37 for full accredited Counsellors and €38,402.36 gross p.a. for part-accredited Counsellors, commensurate with relevant experience. In addition, pending funding, there will be a further 2% salary increase on 1st October 2026.This however, should not be interpreted as providing for any additional salary increases beyond the above stated terms as Clarecare is a part-funded Section 39 entity and not a fully funded (Section 38) Agency. Clare County Council is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the above competition - Executive Architectural Conservation Officer from which future relevant vacancies may be filled subject to sanction approval from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. The Executive Architectural Conservation Officer is responsible for managing elements of the Planning Department and providing a range of services to Local Authorities. The Architectural Conservation Officer is required to play a central role in protecting, promoting, and harnessing the potential of the architectural heritage and archaeology of the County, implementing Part IV of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) through providing advice on architectural and archaeological heritage matters relating to planning applications and plans and strategies. Reporting to the assigned line manager, the Executive Architectural Conservation Officer will be responsible for the efficient management of their prescribed work area within the conservation or related function. Managers at this level work within defined parameters relevant to the position, in accordance with the Local Authority’s vision and objectives. The Executive Architectural Conservation Officer will be required to work closely with elected Councillors to deliver the full range of services and implement local policy decisions. The Active Ennis Leisure Complex is a complete indoor health and fitness arena with white flag accreditation, providing pool and gym-based activities for all individuals and clubs in Ennis and further afield. Active Ennis Leisure Complex has for many years had a great association with water safety and with the Lifeguard Service in particular. Many of the lifeguards who have guarded the beaches of Clare over the years availed of their early training in the pool. Active Ennis Leisure Complex is widely recognised as the centre of excellence for swim lessons in Clare. Our team of instructors has vast experience teaching adults and children at all levels from beginner to competitive swimmer. The principal duty of the Lifeguard Instructor shall be to safeguard the users of the pool by maintaining a constant observation of all swimmers while on duty. The successful candidate will also be tasked to work across other streams of activities provided within the Complex for example, teaching swimming classes, lifesaving lessons, aquafit classes, running camps, allowing the candidate to develop their career potential.
