The Role:  The Asset Operations function forms the cornerstone of service delivery to customers, protecting the environment and meeting regulatory standards as well as managing the majority of operational expenditure.  The Asset Operations function has responsibility for operational and maintenance strategy, policies, planning and standard operating procedures for Water operations both nationally and regionally, ensuring that value for money and customer service is delivered. Reporting to the Portfolio Operations Technical Manager, the Portfolio Operations Technical Lead will be responsible for providing technical operational input and oversight in collaboration with Asset Planning, Asset Delivery and Major Projects Functions, in the scoping, design, construction, commissioning and initial operation of water treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs and other new and upgraded assets. They will be a key member of Core Project Teams (CPTs) along with the Asset Planning Project Sponsor and the Asset Delivery Project Manager. These CPTs will be stood up to effectively co-ordinate and manage the Uisce Éireann portfolio of programmes and projects through a defined workshop process. The Role: Customer Operations develop, deliver and support excellent customer experience and service to both domestic and non-domestic customers within a regulated industry. Customer Operations is responsible for managing the customer relationship with the Customer Contact Centre, ensuring timely and accurate customer billing services and effectively implementing the Uisce Éireann customer strategy. Connections and Developer Services (CDS) are responsible for the customer engagement and stakeholder relationship management of all connections to the Uisce Éireann network. The CDS team manage the customer journey from development concept design, statutory planning process, pre-connection, technical design, site quality assurance, vesting of new asset and final connection and metering, including developing commercial/technical customer agreements, and managing customer funding in adherence to all technical standards, connection charging policy and governance requirements. CDS are responsible for delivering a highly effective customer service, including reviewing, and implementing solutions to meet changing customer needs. Collaboration with several key business partners is essential for the successful delivery of connections on behalf of the customer.  Reporting to the Standards and Development Technical Lead, the CAD Analyst will be responsible for providing a CAD draughting service for the organisation as well as maintaining the Drawing Register. This new division has been established with funding from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage (DHLGH) and Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) The aim of the National Barrier Mitigation Programme (NBMP) is to improve river hydromorphology and connectivity in Irish catchments by strategically targeting significant barriers to fish passage and structures degrading river form, flow and function. Iconic species such as Atlantic salmon and the European eel are threatened species and IFI is mandated to protect them under law. Removing barriers will open habitat to various species in an era where habitat loss is impacting severely on biodiversity both nationally and internationally.
