TII Project Liaison Engineer
BACKGROUND TO THE POSITION The N4 route between Mullingar and Longford (Roosky) forms part of the Dublin to Sligo national primary route. The existing road is a single carriageway passing through several settlements, including Ballinalack, Rathowen, Edgeworthstown, Longford and Newtownforbes. It is a key strategic route which provides connectivity from Dublin to the Northwest of the country. The proposed N4 Mullingar to Longford (Roosky) Scheme proposes to connect the N4 Mullingar Bypass (Dual Carriageway) to the N4 Dromod Roosky Type 2 Dual Carriageway. The Scheme consists of approximately 51 km of mainline carriageway and will include grade-separated junctions/roundabouts with existing national roads, river/rail crossings, and junctions and link roads, as required, to allow the continued flow of traffic on the existing road network. The proposed scheme will improve journey times and safety will be improved for all road users. DUTIES OF THE POSITION The person appointed as Project Liaison Engineer shall be responsible for the co-ordination of the planning of this National Road Project and such other duties as may from time to time be assigned to him/her. This will include liaising with landowners, the TII Regional Design Offices, TII personnel, Longford County Council personnel, consultants and all others directly or indirectly involved in the project. This is an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to work as part of the engineering project team. You will have the opportunity of working with leading edge automation technologies such as robotics, vision systems, drives, controls systems etc. It’s a hands on role that involves the mechanical and electrical assembly and debug of complex machines. The role contributes significantly to the continued success of Ward Automation. Responsibilities • Working from the design drawings to perform the mechanical and electrical assembly of bespoke machines. • Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic debug of machines. • Liaise and communicate with the different project team members. • Responsible for the quality of the build. • Responsible for ensuring that machine build timelines and targets are achieved. Key Skills • Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings. • Capable of clearly understanding the functionality of the equipment being built. • Ability to troubleshoot and develop creative solutions both mechanically and electrically. • A high degree of craft skill with the ability to setup machines to fine tolerances to produce the desired results. • Excellent communication skills. • Proficient computer skills in MS office, experience with mechanical and electrical CAD software is an advantage.

The Role: Customer Operations develop, deliver, and support excellent customer service to both domestic and non-domestic customers within a regulated industry. Customer Operations is responsible for managing the customers relationship with the Customer Contact Centre, ensuring timely and accurate customer billing services and effectively implementing the Uisce Éireann customer strategy. Connections and Developer Services (CDS) are responsible for the customer engagement and stakeholder relationship management of all connections to the Uisce Éireann network. The CDS team manage the customer journey from development concept design, statutory planning process, pre-connection, technical design, site quality assurance, vesting of new asset and final connection and metering, including developing commercial/technical customer agreements, and managing customer funding in adherence to all technical standards, connection charging policy and governance requirements. CDS are responsible for delivering a highly effective customer service, including reviewing, and implementing solutions to meet changing customer needs. Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice
The Trade of Carpentry & Joinery is very wide and varied. It encompasses most of the skills required by the Wood Trades. These skills required of the Carpenter & Joiner are not confined to those required to work in wood but include skills in the use of metals, plastics and fabrics. The Carpenter & Joiner is also required to work in a cross section of domains within the overall trade. The following are some examples: Joinery Shop: This section of the occupation requires the Carpenter & Joiner to engage in setting out, production and assembling items of joinery which include stairs, doors, windows and built-in furniture. Site Work: Site work is the construction of buildings or houses which require 1st fixing, formwork roofs and 2nd fixing. This section is split into two categories: constructing and civil engineering contracts. Maintenance: Maintenance work requires the Carpenter & Joiner to carry out a variety of tasks in general maintenance and upkeep of public and private buildings, e.g. shops and factories. There are other areas associated with the trade which include renovating buildings, shopfitting, and exhibition/display work. About This Role: This role is part the Voice and Contact Centre team servicing one of eir Business’s largest dedicated Managed Service customers. They are responsible for supporting the delivery of stable, secure and high‑quality Unified Communications and Contact Centre services across the organisation. The role combines deep technical expertise in Cisco Unified Communications (CUCM, Unity, IM&P, Gateways) with advanced skills in Cisco Unified Contact Centre Enterprise (UCCE, ICM, CVP, Finesse).The role provides expert support for Cisco UC platforms, resolves complex voice issues, delivers high-quality changes and improvements, and contributes to the stability of critical business communications. The engineer acts as a trusted technical specialist—supporting day‑to‑day operations, leading incident resolution, and driving continuous service improvement. Working closely with network, security, contact centre, and service management teams, the role ensures that voice services meet business needs, comply with standards, and provide a seamless experience for users and customers. Expectations From The Role: · Support Cisco Unified Communications Solutions (CUCM, Unity Connection) · Support Cisco UCCE solutions including ICM, CVP, Finesse. · Build and manage ICM routing scripts including calls flows, logic routing, and failover scenarios. · Integrate voice systems with network, security, and collaboration platforms. · Patch/Upgrade CVP, Finesse, CUIC, CUCM and gateways according to lifecycle and security requirements. · Monitor health of UC/UCCE systems. · Respond to and resolve voice-related support incidents across CUCM, UCCE, Unity, Cubes, SIP trunks and SIP providers. · Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and implement corrective actions. · Adherence to IT Incident, Problem, and Change procedures to ensure availability, security and reliability of the production environment. · Participation in and support of major voice projects. · Produce high-quality documentation including configuration guides and support material. · Assist with capacity planning and platform lifecycle management. · Provide on call support 24x7 as part of an on call rota.
