They will act as a subject matter expert across a wide range of plant systems, manage spare parts, and provide insight on asset health. The role involves supporting installation and commissioning activities, coordinating and overseeing third‑party maintenance providers, managing permits to work, and ensuring all contractor activity complies with procedures and health and safety standards. Additional duties include handling plant alarms, completing accurate maintenance documentation, coordinating insurance inspections, liaising with vendors, and providing out‑of‑hours engineering support when required What we are looking for To be successful in this role you will need NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical engineering, or plumbing, heating and ventilation (or equivalent) along with post apprenticeship experience in industrial maintenance to include installation of equipment, planned and unplanned maintenance of plant and equipment, including, for example, Air Handling Units (AHU), Boilers, Chillers, Pumps, Heating Systems, etc. It would be desirable for applicants to have a HND/HNC mechanical engineering or Plumbing, Heating and Ventilation (or equivalent) and previous maintenance experience within the food or pharmaceutical industry. Key duties of the role include: • Routine servicing and preventative maintenance of analysers and associated equipment within Randox and in the field. • Establishment of routine maintenance schedules. • Development of procedures and support associated with new products. • Emergency breakdown repair of analysers within Randox and in the field. • Installation, commissioning, and set-up of analyser equipment. • Providing technical support by phone and e-mail to Randox customers. • Providing technical support for analyser development. • The quality control of analysers prior to product release. • The training of Randox and distributor personnel in analysers servicing procedures. • The performance of all tasks within the departmental ISO framework. • Travel internationally to support Randox customers with installations, breakdown repair and preventative maintenance.
