Position Summary The Civil Engineering Apprenticeship Programme is a strategic investment in nurturing and developing engineers within Glanua. Due to the success of the programme, we are looking to recruit more apprentices for the September 2026 programme. Civil Engineering Apprenticeship Programme with ATU Sligo: • 3-year programme to achieve a QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering. • Online classes every Monday from 9 am to 6 pm. • Monthly in-person labs/workshops in Sligo. • The remaining duration (Tues to Friday) is dedicated to on the job learning in Glanua. • Course includes regular college assignments and exams after Christmas. Requirements: Good attitude & willingness to learn. • Flexibility to travel to various site. • Eligibility criteria pass grade in Leaving Cert maths or have QQI level 5 (or equivalent). • Must be over 18 years of age. Electrical Apprentice
The electrical craftsperson is concerned with the installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance of: electrical wiring systems and services; electrical plant and control equipment; process monitoring and control systems. Modern process plant includes electrical, electro-mechanical, electro-pneumatic, electronic and microprocessor-based systems. In order to function effectively and efficiently, the electrical craftsperson must have a broad base of technical knowledge complementary to information gathering and analytical skills. The ability to interpret technical data and the proper use of test instruments is critical for effective system maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification, and the installation/calibration of sensors, transmitting and controlling devices. This craftsperson must maintain effective communications with colleagues, clients and equipment suppliers. Proper maintenance and updating of job-related and equipment-related documentation is critical. All work undertaken by electrical craftspersons is subject to statutory regulations governing the safety of personnel, plant, premises and the environment. Day Centre Service Support Officer

The purpose of this role is to provide day to day support to the Service Coordinator in the development, operation, and expansion of person-centered services in Clonakilty, in line with the IWA standards for Community Centre Services. The person will work with the Service Coordinator and staff to achieve service goals as well as actively delivering of a range of capacity building/social and independent living skills programmes. The person will also support and assist with fundraising activities. Liaison For success in the above post there are several key relationships which must be fostered and developed. Within IWA those will be association staff, in particular the Service Coordinator and those involved in the provision of the services, as well as direct contact with IWA members.
