Summer Student Operatives Ballyragget Role Profile We are recruiting for Summer Student Operatives at our well established ingredients production facility in Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny. The Summer Student Operatives will work as part of the operations team, reporting to the area production manager. Responsibilities The Summer Student Operative will be responsible for all aspects of plant performance, product quality and plant hygiene, and will perform general operational duties across our various production plants to the highest safety standards. Successful candidates will be required to work on assigned day, evening or night shifts, depending on operational requirements. Key Requirements Students must:• Be available for the placement (May – September 2026)• Have a full driving licence and full time access to a car (or a way of getting to the site for the duration of the placement)• Be willing to work to shift schedules (which can include weekend and night work)

Naval Service (Operations Branch) Cadet
What is the Naval Service Operations Branch? Officers of the Operations Branch of the Naval Service are responsible for the efficient running of the ship. It is only from within this Branch that an officer may become Captain of a ship. The Operations Branch Officer’s responsibilities include Bridge Watchkeeping, where they are responsible for the safe navigation of the ship and the safety of the ship’s company. Operations Branch Officers also lead boarding teams in fishery protection and anti-drug running boarding operations. The Operations Branch Cadet will undergo a course of training of approximately twenty-one months duration. Initial training takes place in the Cadet School, Military College, DFTC, Curragh Camp and is of approximately three months duration. Subsequent training takes place in the Naval Base, Haulbowline, Co Cork and aboard ship. This training encompasses both the theory and practical application of the skills required for the Officer to take their place as a fully functional member of the ship’s command team. Subjects covered include Navigation, Seamanship, Gunnery, Leadership and Management. On completion of cadet training, an Operations Branch Cadet is eligible to be commissioned on a 3 year Short Service Commission in the rank of Ensign or Sub-Lieutenant. After commissioning, training continues both at sea and ashore until the Officer is fully qualified to take an appointment on board ship. When fully qualified as an Operations Branch Officer, they may be offered a full Commission without limitation as to time. The fully trained Junior Officer spends the following years on sea/shore rotations. The primary sea duties involve watchkeeping and navigation while shore duties involve training or administrative appointments. The Naval Service Officer can avail of opportunities of further education as well as participating in professional sub-specialisation courses such as Tactical and Naval Warfare Courses at home and abroad. Our staff are at the heart of everything we do and achieve. We have an exciting new career opportunity for an Operations Manager to manage our clinics across Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland. Location : Can be based in either our clinic in Holywood or on the Lisburn Road in Belfast. Regular travel throughout our clinic network is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of clinics in Ireland, which currently includes 4 clinics in Northern Ireland: Belfast, Crumlin, Derry/Londonderry and Holywood and 4 within the Republic of Ireland: 3 in Dublin and 1 in Cork. Regular travel will be required. New clinics are opening soon. Contract Offered : Full-time, Permanent. Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week. Start and finish times will vary depending on business needs and may include some weekends. This role is responsible for communicating with the Clinic Managers and clinic teams to ensure all sample collections are actioned promptly and within schedule. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities: • Managing routes for the team of drivers to ensure efficiency and to avoid delays, where possible. • Collection and delivery of sampled between third party clinics and Randox Clinics / Laboratories. • Completing all necessary paperwork, including chain of custody. • Liaising with clients and representing Randox Health to the highest standard. • Ensure samples are transporting in their desired condition. • Maintain the upkeep of the company vehicle inclusive of completing pre-start checklists and keeping a mileage log. • Daily checks such as tyres and oil. • Moving stock between clinics as and when required. • Occasionally helping out transporting stock and equipment for off-sites and pop-up clinics, if necessary. • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and brand standards. Who can apply? Essential criteria: • Minimum 1 year experience in route planning and managing driver rotas. • Full, clean UK Driving Licence. • Flexibility in your availability. • Good knowledge of the local roads and motorways. • Strong communication skills • Currently have the right to work in Ireland without visa sponsorship. Desirable: • Previous experience in a multi-drop delivery driver position. • Previous experience in a similar position. • Previous experience transporting medical samples. • Previous experience managing staff.
