A request for incremental credit from a successful candidate must be made within the first 3 months of employment. The NRH is a publicly funded voluntary hospital and operates on the ethos of providing high quality care and treatment to patients on the basis of clinical need, irrespective of background or status. The NRH receives medical students from all three Dublin medical schools (UCD, TCD and RCSI). The NRH is undergoing a major transformation of its facilities and services. Phase 1 of the redevelopment project received patients in June 2020 and provides a unique, purpose-built facility that includes 120 single ensuite rooms with integrated therapy, clinical and social spaces. Rehabilitation Medicine forms a component of training in several medical sub-specialties and general practice.
