Mechanical/Electrical Engineer

Description: The successful candidate will be part of the maintenance team with responsibilities for preventative and breakdown maintenance and the related documentation of the maintenance carried out. Location: ABP Rathkeale, Limerick Responsibilities: • Work with Site Maintenance Managers, Planners and API Maintenance Lead on execution of the site maintenance program to deliver compliant, reliable and efficient operation of all plant and equipment. • Support the Reliability Engineer in the execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance initiatives. • Develop and lead a Root Cause Failure Analysis Program to reduce general equipment breakdowns and support maintenance personnel to conduct real time Root Cause Analysis. • Work with the Reliability Engineer & Planning to establish and use reliability & work planning metrics/KPI's to monitor improvement and resource optimization e.g. PM/CM ratio, schedule adherence, etc. • To carry out start up checks on machinery throughout the plant on a daily basis. • Ensure that all breakdowns are carried out swiftly and safely at all times. • Ensure that all servicing and maintenance throughout the site is done in an efficient, safe and hygienic manner. • Smooth running of the factory. • Repairs, servicing and good maintenance of machinery. • Work on refrigeration, plumbing and all breakdowns is carried out in a safe and tidy manner. • To implement and follow the preventative maintenance schedule • To ensure that records are completed. • Other duties as assigned. • Refrigeration experience an advantage but not essential • To ensure that the staff comply with the Company Health & Safety policy. • The above job description is designed to give an appreciation of the main functions of the job. JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Minimum Eligibility Requirements are the minimum requirements required for the position and are set out by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage for administrative and technical/engineering grades. For outdoor grades and some specialised grades, the minimum eligibility requirements are set out by Kilkenny County Council Human Resources Department in consultation with the relevant Line Manager as they are not set centrally by the Department. Employment of the successful candidate shall be subject to satisfactory references. First Year Apprentice Vacancy Machine build is a highly technical craft role that is crucial to the success of producing the company’s high quality automation equipment for use in the Medical Device and Pharma industries. This is an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to work as part of the engineering project team. You will have the opportunity of working with leading edge automation technologies such as robotics, vision systems, drives, controls systems etc. It’s a hands on role that involves the mechanical and electrical assembly and debug of complex machines. The role contributes significantly to the continued success of Ward Automation. Responsibilities • Working from the design drawings to perform the mechanical and electrical assembly of bespoke machines. • Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic debug of machines. • Liaise and communicate with the different project team members. • Responsible for the quality of the build. • Responsible for ensuring that machine build timelines and targets are achieved. Key Skills • Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings. • Capable of clearly understanding the functionality of the equipment being built. • Ability to troubleshoot and develop creative solutions both mechanically and electrically. • A high degree of craft skill with the ability to setup machines to fine tolerances to produce the desired results. • Excellent communication skills. • Proficient computer skills in MS office, experience with mechanical and electrical CAD software is an advantage.

Carpentry and Joinery Apprentice
The Trade of Carpentry & Joinery is very wide and varied. It encompasses most of the skills required by the Wood Trades. These skills required of the Carpenter & Joiner are not confined to those required to work in wood but include skills in the use of metals, plastics and fabrics. The Carpenter & Joiner is also required to work in a cross section of domains within the overall trade. The following are some examples: Joinery Shop: This section of the occupation requires the Carpenter & Joiner to engage in setting out, production and assembling items of joinery which include stairs, doors, windows and built-in furniture. Site Work: Site work is the construction of buildings or houses which require 1st fixing, formwork roofs and 2nd fixing. This section is split into two categories: constructing and civil engineering contracts. Maintenance: Maintenance work requires the Carpenter & Joiner to carry out a variety of tasks in general maintenance and upkeep of public and private buildings, e.g. shops and factories. There are other areas associated with the trade which include renovating buildings, shopfitting, and exhibition/display work. At the end of the apprenticeship, the craftsperson will be able to demonstrate competence in the following skills:
