Working as a member of the Process and Testing Technologies team you will perform a split function role within the Industrialisation Team; working in the pilot plant to produce cosmetic bulks and working to support the Process Chemists in the scaling up process of our cosmetic formulations. What will you do? Process Development: Support Process Chemists on NPD process developments and challenges to ensure successful project delivery. Support the Process Chemists to work with factories, sub-contractors, packaging and planning to guarantee smooth NPD delivery. Work with Process Chemists to ensure smooth transition from NPD to New Product Implementation (NPI) for the start up of new formulation and technologies and help Process Chemists to provide troubleshooting expertise to resolve non conformances and manufacturing issues. Generate and review manufacturing instructions which the factories will use to manufacture products based on how we make pilot plant batches. Share these instructions in a timely manner along with the rest of the manufacturing pack. Monitor progress of projects in NPD and deliver on agreed KPI’s set in Annual Target and Development Plan. Report project progress at NPD update meetings. Pilot Plant: Perform end-to-end batch manufacturing of low to medium complexity products in Oriflame R&Ds pilot plant. Perform full cleaning and sanitisation on all pilot plant equipment and ancillary equipment according to Oriflame R&Ds to SOPs. Maintain good verbal & written communication with the Process Development Chemists; making observations on batches during production that may be relevant to product industrialization. Communicate issues with raw materials during weighing and vessel cleaning issues that may be relevant to product industrialization to the Process Chemists. Maintain accurate batch manufacturing records and batch filling records. Assist with equipment maintenance and new equipment validation as requested. Does this describe you? Your background and your qualifications Minimum degree level in a scientific or cosmetic discipline. Knowledge, experience and handling of cosmetic raw materials and / or operating pilot plant or production equipment is an advantage. Knowledge and experience of cosmetic formulation is an advantage.
