Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll: <ul><li>Supervision of the payroll processing team ensuring compliance with all revenue obligations. This includes a weekly payroll &amp; a monthly payroll (340 employees in total)</li><li>Be the main point of contact for the pension &amp; risk renewal providers ensuring all obligations are met in a timely manner</li><li> Ownership of the detailed monthly payroll analysis file &amp; liaise regularly with the directors regarding their divisions to ensure all employees are coded to the correct division.</li><li>Responsible for posting of the monthly payroll journal </li><li>Recalculate the holiday accrual periodically to ensure sufficiently accrued</li><li>Review BIK calculations, overtime &amp; health insurance deductions regularly </li><li> Streamline the payroll process &amp; automate where possible</li><li>Keeping up to date with all relevant legislation </li><li>Ensure all internal controls are maintained with regular internal checks</li><li>Preparation of the annual payroll budget to tight deadlines</li></ul>Compliance:<ul><li>Ensuring compliance with all Revenue &amp; other obligations </li><li>Prepare &amp; submit the bi-monthly VAT return &amp; the annual RTD return</li><li>Prepare &amp; submit the monthly VIES &amp; Intrastat returns </li><li> Prepare &amp; submit the monthly RCT return </li><li>Prepare &amp; submit the annual 46G return</li><li>Compile &amp; return info for any CSO obligations throughout the year</li><li>Be the point of contact for any VAT or RCT queries from the operations team</li><li>Co-ordinate the year-end external audit &amp; corporation tax requirement &amp; be the main point of contact for the external auditors &amp; corporation tax advisors</li><li>Co-ordinate any internal audits as required</li><li> Compile relevant information for the annual insurance renewal</li><li>Ensuring all internal controls are maintained/improved across the various tax heads, implement additional controls &amp; reporting dashboards.</li><li>If there are any acquisitions, ensure that from date of acquisition all tax heads are complying with revenue obligation</li></ul>Banking:<ul><li>Weekly cashflow forecasting</li><li>Daily cash management &amp; responsible for review &amp; first approval of all banking BACS &amp; EFT transactions</li><li>Responsible for ensuring all company credit card records are kept up to date</li><li>Ensuring bank reconciliations are completed monthly</li><li> Liaise with the banks when necessar</li></ul>Other:<ul><li> Support the FP&amp;A team &amp; month-end where necessary</li><li>Month-end balance sheet reconciliations to tight deadlines</li><li>Assisting with ERP implementation project as required</li><li>Help drive improvements in working capital </li><li>Assist with the preparation of the annual balance sheet budget.</li><li>Provide training and support to junior members of the team and play an active role in their development</li></ul>#ijadvantageSkills, Knowledge and Expertise<ul><li>Qualified Accountant &amp; a member of a registered accountancy body (ACCA, ACA, CPA,CIMA) with minimum 3 years post qualification experience</li><li>Previous experience in payroll essential with strong technical knowledge of PAYE, PRSI revenue compliance, BIK &amp; ROS reporting.</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of VAT, RCT, Corporation tax rules required</li><li>Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP experience an advantage</li><li>Excellent computer literacy with strong working knowledge of Excel, Jet Reporting, Powerpoint, Sharepoint</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Excellent numeric and organisational skills</li><li>Ability to work methodically through problems with excellent attention to detail</li><li>Ability to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner</li></ul>The above description is a general outline of the requirements of the role.
