Driver - Rigid
We are currently recruiting for the position of Rigid Driver on a permanent full-time and part time basis. This role will be based out of Value Centre Ennis to work for one of our preferred partners, Newman Logistics. The driver will be responsible for delivering products to our customers in the designated routes. A core requirement of the role will be strong interpersonal skills and the appetite to deliver a quality service, on time to our customers. Acting as a key point of contact with our customers, the driver will be required to have strong interpersonal skills and the initiative to report customer service issues to the business in order to assist with improving the service we provide to our customers. CORLANN – WEST REGION CREGORAN COMMUNITY SERVICES, GALWAY CITY & COUNTY RESIDENTIAL SERVICES PERMANENT SOCIAL CARE WORKER JOB REF: 94052 Location: Cregoran Services is a progressive, dynamic and developing service located in and around Claregalway, Co. Galway. Cregoran provides a variety of residential, day and respite services to adults with intellectual disabilities who have very high support needs, grounded in the use of personal outcome measures. We work to form genuine relationships and partnerships with each person we support and those closest to them. We aim to support people to participate in the everyday life of their community, to have ordinary life experiences, and to create opportunities for the people we support to form real friendships. Role: The role of the Social Care Worker is a significant role in ensuring the continuity and quality of supports provided, as well as the day to day governance structure of Cregoran Services. The successful candidate must work and provide leadership to more junior colleagues in line with Personal Outcomes Measures, HIQA standards, New Directions and future service requirements. The vision of the Cregoran Services is to support people with intellectual disabilities to achieve a full and valued life in their community. Our focus is the formation of relationships and partnerships with each individual and their family, in order to support the person to be valued citizens in their local community and to have ordinary life experiences. We are looking to recruit an innovative, creative, motivated, and visionary person who will relish the opportunity to assist in empowering the people we support achieve their vision. The successful candidate will fulfil a key supportive and advocative role for people supported by Cregoran Services in all aspects of their lives. Core to this is the focus on each individual’s ability and the promotion of independence and development of skills at all times. The successful candidate will assist people with the development of their person-centred plans and, critically, will support people to make informed choices and fulfil their potential. They will encourage participation in the community through inclusive and creative thinking, seek opportunities for new experiences and encourage positive risk taking in leading to informed choices. The successful candidate must be flexible and adaptable to ensure the service provided is moulded to meet the needs of the people they support. The successful candidate must be able to work to ensure the provision of a safe, secure environment where individuals participate in community and leisure activities, making choices and enjoy a lifestyle that fulfils their potential and expectations, while also having the opportunity for new experiences. The successful candidate will work within the overall service team, ensuring that the life of each Individual reflects the Organisations core values by supporting each individual’s development in the areas of: · Ensuring the physical, medical, social and emotional wellbeing outcomes of the people supported are observed. Reporting/Responsible To: Team Leader / Service Coordinator /Area Manager/Sector Manager Qualifications/Experience: Ø A relevant 3rd level qualification in Social Care Sector e.g. Social Care qualification registered with or in the process of registering with CORU. Ø All candidates must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience gained working in services for people with intellectual disabilities. Ø Candidates must have a full clean manual driving licence. Ø Experience of working with individuals with behaviours that challenge is essential. Ø Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of leading and supporting a team. Ø Practical working knowledge and experience of HIQA regulations and Standards is essential. Ø Fluency in verbal and written English is an essential requirement of this post. Ø Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Ø Proficiency in computer skills and online data management systems. Skills: The successful candidate must provide examples of his or her own: Ø Leadership and planning skills Ø Ability to set goals, put these goals into action and evaluate their success Ø Ability to exercise good judgement, discretion and confidentiality Ø Creativity and self-motivation skills Ø Effective communication style in both written and verbal forms Ø Work ethic in a team environment using a person-centred philosophy Working Hours: 78 hours per fortnight. All posts are based on a 14-day duty roster. The successful candidate may be required to work days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers / night duty where required, to meet service needs. Corlann’s model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures quality and person centred planning system requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each person supported The successful candidate will eventually be required to take responsibility as the senior person on duty in order to support colleagues across Cregoran Services on a rostered basis, outside of usual business hours. Training and support will be provided to support this. Annual Leave: 22 days per annum. Annual leave must be planned in advance with the Team Leader / Service Coordinator to ensure appropriate and adequate cover is provided for the service. Remuneration: Department of Health Social Care Worker salary scale as at 01/08/2025 apply: €40,351 x 11 increments - €55,599 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). A long service increment €56,650 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) is payable after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. Additional payments will be made for weekends, public holidays and night duty when worked. Salary quoted is based on a 39 hour working week. The successful candidate will be granted incremental credit subject to satisfactory verification of previous public sector service. Tenure: The post is Permanent full-time and pensionable. Probation: A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post. Employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period should the employer find that the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment.
