It also has statutory responsibility for supporting the provision, coordination, administration and assessment of youth work services in Dublin city and is the lead partner for Music Generation Dublin City. The Adult Safeguarding and Protection team provides a safeguarding service to individuals and organisations in accordance with the “Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse National Policy and Procedures” 2014. This includes: · Providing oversight of safeguarding concerns of abuse within organisations funded by the HSE Social Care Division for older people and persons with disabilities. Purpose of the Post The post holder will be required to work both as a member of a team and at times alone, in an oversight capacity with service setting providers; and alongside community network staff, mental health and acute colleagues in an advice and consultation role. They will also hold a caseload of complex community safeguarding cases short-term, within a defined geographic / network area. The post holder will deliver the HSE’s Social Care Division’s commitment to promoting the protection, welfare and safeguarding of vulnerable persons from abuse under the current policy. The post holder, under the management and leadership of the Principal Social Worker, will be required to work with HSE colleagues and Section 38 and Section 39 agencies to ensure that the national policy for Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse is implemented and adhered to in a consistent manner within the region.
