This will include statutory and regulatory requirements of the Workplace Health and Wellbeing Unit for the Health and Safety of healthcare workers. · The post holder will support the Quality & Patient Safety department in all communication processes and the collation, analysis and distribution (as applicable) of all Naas General Hospital policies. Based on this information the post holder will work in collaboration to produce regular reports t identifying areas for improvement: Eligibility Criteria Candidates must have at the latest date of application: • Hold a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) Level 8 (or higher) major academic award (e.g. Honours Degree or Higher Diploma) in Health and Safety, or other relevant area (that is, a qualification or cognate degree accredited by Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) for membership at Graduate or higher level). http://www.iosh.co.uk/Membership/About-membership/Qualifications.aspx AND • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Occupational Health and Safety Officer / Advisor role, or AND o A minimum of 1.5 no. years’ experience in an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor/Officer (or equivalent) or Assistant role, and o Minimum of 1.5 no. years’ experience in healthcare in a clinical or support services role (i.e. a combined total of 3 no. years’ experience) AND • Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and management ability, for the proper discharge of the office. Speech and Language Therapist, Senior - Early Supported Discharge for Stroke 0.5 WTE Naas General Hospital There is currently one permanent, part time (0.5 WTE) vacancy available for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) in Early Supported Discharge for Stroke in Naas General Hospital, Kildare. The successful candidate will be based in Naas General Hospital but will provide an Early Supported Discharge (ESD) service to Stroke survivors in the catchment areas of Kildare & West Wicklow working to support the early discharge of patients who meet the criteria for ESD. Eligibility Criteria 1. Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc Candidates must, at the latest date of application,: (i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU. AND (ii) Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of 3 years full time) post qualification clinical experience. AND (iii) Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. AND (iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued. 2. Annual Registration (i) On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU. AND (ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). 3.
