This role involves working directly with individuals in their own homes, supporting them to live independently and maintain their wellbeing, dignity, and quality of life. Essential Criteria At least 1 year’s paid experience in a caring role. GCSE (or equivalent) standard of education. Relevant qualification e.g., QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care, Level 2/3 NISCC registered/able to apply on appointment. A full UK driving licence and access to a car. This role is open to women only, as some personal support can only be provided by a female staff member. Hourly Paid Lecturer Register
From time to time the College needs to recruit Hourly Paid Lecturers (HPL) to contribute to teaching and/or other related duties in the College on a temporary basis. This may be due to specific expertise requirements or due to the requirement for staff cover. This Register will be valid from September 2026 to August 2027. Stranmillis University College offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as follows: Initial Teacher Education leading to the award of the BEd (Honours); BA (Early Childhood Studies); BSc (Physical Education and Sport); Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Early Years Education; A number of Foundation Degrees in collaboration with the Further Education sector; and A range of courses at Master's level, including a part-time MEd, a part-time Master of Teaching degree and a part-time MA (Early Childhood Studies). A part-time doctorate (D Prof) in educational professional practice that commenced in September 2024. All of the College's degree award bearing programmes are validated by Queen's University, Belfast (QUB).
