Job Summary As a member of a team of front-line staff provide a positive visitor experience and ensuring the highest levels of customer care and satisfaction to the public by providing a quality welcome, information, safeguarding and hospitality service. This will include ensuring high standards of security, cleanliness and housekeeping at museum facilities. Assisting with events, education activities, deliver tours of the museum, help with exhibitions and handling cash, take bookings and deal with enquiries and record complaints. Maintain a safe environment and monitor museum systems and equipment undertaking building and safety checks and reporting any faults immediately for actioning. Hours of work 36 hours per week. Duration of Appointment Permanent Location Down County Museum Salary Scale 4, SCP 9 - 13, currently £26,409 - £28,163 per annum based on a 36 hour week (pro rata to hours worked). It is Council policy to appoint at minimum salary scale point.
Events Officer

Main Purpose of Post/Job: To deliver the annual Programme of Tourism Events and Festivals across the district focused on increasing visitor numbers and tourism revenue, to ensure effective timely delivery of all tourism events within budget and to plan. Duration of Appointment: Permanent Hours of Work: 36 hours per week The post holder must be prepared to work outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends, and Public and extra Statutory Holidays for which the appropriate payment will be made or time in lieu granted if relevant. Outdoor Recreation Attendant / Driver

Main Purpose of Post/Job: To provide a cleaning, caretaking and inspection service to outdoor leisure facilities owned or managed by the Council. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining high levels of cleanliness and basic maintenance for the outdoor leisure sites they are responsible for. The post holder will provide customer service support to individuals and group users of Outdoor Leisure Facilities, to help ensure visitor comfort, safety and enjoyment. ensuring all health and safety inspections are conducted, planned and reactive maintenance works are carried out as required. Sports & Leisure Attendant
Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department. Applicants should able to supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. Astro Active Sports Centre Sports & Leisure Attendants support vulnerable adults and other users in the safe use of all equipment and facilities towards a healthier lifestyle. On the job training in use of Gym, Sports programme delivery, summer camps, mini soccer, reception and café duties. Infection prevention & control, general cleaning duties and assisting with outdoor upkeep of grounds and pitch as required. This is a 19.5 hour week and may include some evening or weekend work.

Bus Driver
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and advocating for the rights of people affected by dementia to quality supports and services. Our vision is an Ireland where people affected by dementia are valued and supported. A national non-profit organisation, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is person centred, rights-based and grassroots led with the voice of the person with dementia and their carer at its core. The Society is currently recruiting a Bus Driver to be based in Kilmurry Court, Garryowen, Limerick, V94DR60 who will report to the Day Centre Manager. This is a permanent contract working 30 hours per week. The hours will be split as follows: • 9.30 am until 12.30 pm and 14:00 pm to 16.30 pm The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting clients between their place of residence and the day care centre as requested by the Day Centre Manager; in addition to any other driving duties as required by the Day Centre Manager in relation to the smooth running of the day care centre. To be successful in this role you will need to hold an appropriate bus driving license (Class D1). You will also need at least 3 years previous experience of driving similar or larger buses. You will need a good knowledge of the local area to facilitate the planning most efficient routes, excellent driving skills along with experience of driving public/ private buses; and strong interpersonal skills and works well with others. Care Worker

A national non-profit organisation, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is person centred, rights-based and grassroots led with the voice of the person with dementia and their carer at its core. The ASI is currently recruiting for Care Workers who will work for our Adare Day Care Centre, Rathkeale Road, Adare, Limerick V94HX66 This is a permanent contract working 7.5 hours a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person centered care to people with dementia in the Deise Day Care Centre. You will need good communication and organizational skills and be able to work on your own initiative. To be successful in this position it is essential you possess previous experience of undertaking social and cognitive stimulation activates with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities. A FETAC level 5 is desirable. Confidence in using IT/Email is also desirable. We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with the care sector, and dependent on relevant experience. The role holder must strictly adhere to all National Guidelines laid out in QSPD guidance and be always COVID aware. Training in PPE / Infection Control and other relevant areas will be provided by The ASI prior to the role holder entering a client’s home.
