Job Purpose: The purpose of the Medical Secretary Grade IV is to provide an exceptional and comprehensive support service delivery within the various Departments and Directorate in consideration of Patient Care and the departmental Administration Team. Our practice ensures residents remain in their local community with better health outcomes, helping to avoid their transfer to acute facilities. Referrals and admissions are accepted from acute services, the community and nearby residential units. We are committed to the delivery of best practice nursing care to 131 residents with varying complex care needs. This includes: tracheostomies; IV fluids/antibiotics; complex wounds and subcutaneous fluids. We provide an excellent End-of-Life service and are actively involved with the Hospice Friendly Hospital programme.
