The service operates a range of Community Mental Health services, as well as acute adult inpatient beds provision in both St James’s Hospital & Tallaght Hospital and is located in Integrated Health Areas 1 & 2 of the Dublin Midland Regional Health Authority. CAMHS community covers IHA areas 1, 2& 3. With inpatient unit in IHA1, soon to include the new unit in NCHI. Kildare West Wicklow Mental Health Service and the Midlands Mental Health Service are located in Integrated Health Areas 3 & 4 respectively and also offer a range of services including community-based services that are support by access to in-patient services based in Naas, Portlaoise and Mullingar. The quantum of services provided throughout the region include: Acute Mental Health Inpatient Services, Non-Acute Specialist Inpatient Services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Psychiatry of Later Life Services, Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Recovery Services, Community Residential Services, Homeless Mental Health Services, Day Hospital Intervention, Day Services, Specialist outpatient and in reach teams (Liaison, Self-Harm Nursing Team) Assertive Outreach, Home Care Teams, Family Therapy, Talking Therapies and Community Mental Health Teams .
