We are looking for highly motivated and responsible Cleaner with a good level of both written and spoken English. Good communication skills with residents, management and staff. Will need to work as part of a team Location: Horizon House, Gardiner Street Dublin 1 Responsibilities Clean and tidy Centre, internally and externally. Cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms Management of rubbish and waste within the Centre Dust, sweep and wash corridors on rotation. Assist with the clearing and cleaning of rooms Welcome and check the ID of all inspectors and official visitors to the centre ensuring that they sign the visitors’ book. Alert management when inspectors announce themselves. Undertake cleaning duties and deep cleaning duties on a rotational basis Deal immediately with incidents, and where necessary call 999 for emergency services (gardai or ambulance or fire services) or back up. Report immediately to the manager on call. Be vigilant to the possibility, that we may have trespassers or other untoward behaviour on the grounds at times, and in such a case, note the time of the intrusion, and call Gardai. Where possible note all numbers of any strange vehicles in the communication/handover book. Report all use of fire equipment, fire alarms going off, electricity or fire outage, and report to management. Assist in the induction of new staff at the manager’s request. Term time work with the option to run camps during midterm breaks, Easter and Summer. Hours: 1.10pm -4.30pm per day. This role involves working with children aged 4 - 12 years. Duties include - homework supervision, preparing and serving a light tea, and planning and carrying out activities with the children. The Money Adviser will provide a free, independent, confidential money advice service to facilitate clients to deal with debt problems and to become financially independent in the long term. Money Advisers also provide debt prevention education to the target group. Key Responsibilities of the Role: Incremental Credit: It is expected, that all new entrants to MABS will be appointed at point one of the salary scale. However, North Leinster MABS operates an incremental credit process for appointments higher than point one. This process is applicable to new entrants into MABS. Incremental credit criteria, based on the competencies for the role, are assessed against employment history as laid out in the application form only. A request for incremental credit from a successful candidate must be made within the first 3 months of employment. The decision on whether or not to award an incremental credit is a decision made by the Board and is subject to the availability of funding.
