Basic Occupational Therapist - Adult Services
St. Michael’s House Basic Grade Occupational Therapist- Adult Services Full-time (35 hours/week) St. Michael’s House seeks to employ proactive and progressive individuals who identify with the ethos of providing a continuum of innovative services that support people with a disability to integrate with their community. We are currently seeking applications from Occupational Therapists interested in joining the established Adult Services Occupational Therapy team. This recruitment process is carried out to fill a full-time permanent Basic Grade Occupational Therapist post in St. Michael’s House Adult Services . The position will be working with adults with an intellectual disability and complex needs. The post will be based in St. Michael’s House Ballymun Clinic (Glasnevin) but may involve service provision across Adult Services in St. Michael’s House. Supervision will be available from an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist on the team and Line Management will be under the Occupational Therapy Manager. A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for the Dublin and Midlands Region from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled. Details of Service Midlands Disability Residential Services currently covers Longford, Westmeath and Laois. There are currently a number of community based residential homes for Adults with varying degrees of Intellectual Disability, complex needs and behaviours of concern across Midlands Intellectual Disability Residential Services. The Service comprises of residential houses/designated centres, behaviour support team and Supported living. The residential houses are managed locally by a Clinical Nurse Manager 2. The role of the Care Assistant in Midlands Intellectual Disability Residential Services is to provide holistic, person-centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for service users with intellectual, physical or sensory disability in all aspects of daily living. Person centred care is aligned with evidence based practice, including relevant Regulations, Standards and Guidance documents from the regulatory Authority HIQA. Purpose of the Post The overall role and responsibility of the Care Assistant is to support the lives of individuals with an intellectual disability who access the intellectual disability services. This entails working as part of a multi-disciplinary team under the direction of nursing staff. To promote independence for the client’s day to day living and support in educating them to live a full and meaningful life.
Technical Services Manager
Technical Services & Facilities Manager – Permanent, Full-time The Technical Services & Facilities Manager is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient management of hospital facilities and related technical services. This role ensures the delivery of high standards in building maintenance, health and safety, fire safety, security, and horticulture, while maintaining patient safety and operational continuity. Out of hours/weekend works and/or participation in an on-call rota is an essential requirement of this role. The postholder will manage day-to-day technical services operations, lead staff, oversee external service providers, and ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal governance standards. Essential Qualifications : · Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or related discipline. · Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities or estates management. · Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Fire Safety legislation. · Demonstrated experience managing maintenance teams and external contracts. · Knowledge of Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems and asset management processes. · Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
