The Public Dental Service provides oral health care for patients eligible for dental services which the Health Services Executive is, or may be, under obligation to provide. A preventative evidence-based approach is the fundamental and distinctive character of the public dental service. A dental service is also provided for patients admitted to any institution maintained by the HSE and for those children in the care of the HSE. If required an emergency dental service is also provided. Future developments for the service will include enhanced care for Special Needs Groups and Preventative programs. The team structure involves assisting the Principal Dental Surgeon in the general guidance of Clinical Dental Surgeons, Grade 1 Dental Surgeons and the direct supervision as required of any existing auxiliary dental staff. The service is provided within the Dental Area and relevant HSE area structure.

As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will work in line with the team’s service plans and objectives, while adhering to established professional standards, guidelines, and policies. In this role, you will provide assessment and intervention within the framework of the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT), delivering therapeutic services to children and young people (0–18 years) with a range of complex needs arising from disability. Services are provided to families living in Crumlin, Drimnagh, Parnell Road, and parts of Kimmage, Harold’s Cross, and Walkinstown. Our approach is rooted in child- and family-centred practice, with support delivered across clinic, school, home, and community settings. Interventions may be universal, targeted, or individualised, with a strong emphasis on evidence-informed practice and the implementation of national and professional CDNT guidelines. The team covers a small geographical area, many families are within walking distance, allowing for close community connections and accessible service delivery. We work in a spacious building with ample parking for those who drive. The interdisciplinary team includes Physiotherapy, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Social Work, and Therapy Assistants.
