The Role: Community Support Workers provide a key-working supportive role and assist in the delivery of community support to individuals with Mild Intellectual Disability and sometimes a secondary diagnosis of Mental Health, some of whom may present with behaviours or lifestyles that can be deemed as challenging. This role comprises of mainly one to one working with individuals in the local community or sometimes in their own homes. A vital part of our Community Support Worker role is developing a community profile through; researching the local area, linking with local organisations and clubs, liaising with educational and training bodies and building positive and lasting relationships with all public and private services who assist the individuals we support to live independent lives in their communities. A major focus of the Community Support Worker role will also be encouraging and assisting individuals supported to develop their own life plans based around needs and interests. The Community Support Worker will work closely and inclusively with significant others involved in the individuals life such as family / next of kin and be supported and guided their practice by service social work, psychology, psychiatry and management when required. Reporting/Responsible To: Senior Staff/Team Leads/MDT where appropriate/Service Coordinator/Service Manager Qualifications/Experience/Skills: Ø Candidates must have a good general education. A recognised qualification appropriate to the field of intellectual disability is an advantage. QQI Level 5 or higher is desirable. Ø Candidates must have a minimum of one years’ experience of working with individuals with an Intellectual Disability. Candidates must have a minimum of six months experience of working with individuals with Mental Health Disability or individuals who display behaviours that challenge. Ø Candidates who will bring enthusiasm, professionalism, confidence and creativity to our services. Ø Candidates must be able to demonstrate flexibility, communication and team-working skills, together with an enthusiasm for the post. Ø IT skills are also required. As a trusted advisor to the Head of Finance and non-finance managers, you will play a crucial part in enabling Corlann to achieve its mission through sound financial stewardship. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Essential Criteria: • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) is an essential requirement of the role. • Proven experience (+3 years) in a senior finance role as a competent experienced people manager able to lead and motivate a team is an essential requirement of the role. • Extensive experience in financial management, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. • Strong technical accounting skills and a deep understanding of financial compliance and risk management. • Strong people leadership skills with a creative collaborative mindset with the ability to grasp issues quickly and work on the right things at the right time. • Strong understanding of financial operations in a health or social care setting or working within intellectual disability or similar care services a distinct advantage. • Business Acumen: A strategic thinker with strong business partnering skills and a solutions-oriented mindset. • Integrity: Unimpeachable professional integrity and a commitment to the values and mission of Corlann. • Ability to create order from ambiguity & willingness to roll up sleeves to directly solve problems, operates with a sense of urgency, ability to prioritise work, conscientious, attention to detail and “can do” attitude. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent written & spoken English. • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities. Community Outreach Facilitator
Fáilte Community Services provides a range of community-based servicesfor people supported in Galway City and county. People are supported in various types of settings to include their homes, in the community, community outreach centres, supported employment, training and education, in groups or as an individualised service. Our Services are person-centred, focusing on the needs and abilities of adults with an intellectual disability, some may also experience mental health challenges and or autism. FCS supports people through a variety of life circumstances, offering assistance when situations become complex or challenging. Many of those we support wish to live independently and access education, work/leisure activities and community services for young adults graduating from school or training programmes as well as those needing support with; making informed choices, daily life issues, relationships and health and well-being. GALWAY JOB REF: 101424 The Role: The successful candidates will be involved in the development of a day service provision in Ballinasloe, County Galway. The successful candidate will also be involved in the implementation of an educational, social, vocational, recreational and personal development programme for adults with an intellectual disability. In line with new directions and extended opening hours the successful candidates will also be responsible for providing family support, coordinating social groups and evening activities and providing one to one supports in the community as required. The successful candidates will also have responsibility in a key worker role for the people supported by the services to form links and interests and partnerships with other community groups. This role will involve working with adults with Autism, complex needs and people with physical disabilities. The instructor will be responsible in supporting individuals with all aspects of personal care required during the day. This includes support with meals, personal hygiene and other related aspects of physical well-being, to the extent required by the individual. Qualifications/Experience/Skills: · Candidates require a level 6 qualification relevant to the health sector. · Candidates must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in ID Services. Experience in establishing links with the community and micro enterprises is also an advantage. · A full clean manual Irish Driver’s Licence is essential. · Fluency in verbal and written English is an essential requirement of this post. · Candidates must be able to demonstrate flexibility, communication and team-working skills, together with an enthusiasm for the post. Galway Tenure: Permanent, Full-time and pensionable Remuneration: Department of Health Speech and Language Therapist, Senior salary scale (01/06/2026) of € 65,197 x 8 increments – € 76,767 pro rata per annum. Purpose of the post: To provide a range of Speech and Language therapy supports to children from 0-18 years of age and their families who attend the Network Disability Team, within an interdisciplinary framework and family centred practice. Reporting Relationship: The post holder will report to the Children’s Disability Network Manager (CNDM) Qualifications: The successful candidate must be currently registered with CORU, the regulator for the Health and Social Care professions and eligible for membership of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (I.A.S.L.T.).
