BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND POST OF PERMANENT FULL-TIME SYSTEM TRAINING OFFICER WEST REGION (Galway & Roscommon) Job Ref: 84259 Brothers of Charity Services Ireland – West Region provide a range of day, residential, respite and individual supports to 2000+ people with intellectual disabilities across 400+ services across Counties Galway & Roscommon. The function of the role is to support the OLIS Client Services Management Software, integration of modules and support the new document management system that aims to digitally file and audit all supported person information. The Role: The Systems Training Officer will work to drive and support the rollout of the Client Services System Modules (OLIS) and the associated Document Management system (OLIS DOCs) in residential, respite, day, community, home supports, outreach and other services including organisational areas across Counties Galway and Roscommon. Qualifications: Have a relevant third level qualification (Certificate/Diploma/Degree) and/or relevant experience in Health systems, Information Management, Business Systems or equivalent. Desirable: Level 7 or Level 8, Health systems, Information Management, Business Systems or equivalent. Experience: The Candidate must have a minimum of three years’ work experience and in particular a track-record in delivering supportive, multi-faceted solutions-based training for ICT Systems to various levels of stakeholders, strong exposure to cross-functional team working, leadership of systems projects, and working collaboratively with others to reach targets in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have: Working Hours: 70 hours per fortnight. Travel/ Location: The person appointed must provide his/her own car and must furnish an indemnity from Insurers in favour of the employer. Travelling expenses at the appropriate rate will be paid in respect of travel necessarily performed in the discharge of duty. The role will to travel and support at Training venues & offices throughout Counties Galway and Roscommon. The travel base for this purpose will be Kilcornan House, Clarinbridge, Co. Galway. Annual Leave: 28 days per annum. Remuneration: Department of Health Grade V (Clerical) salary scale - €51,206 x 4 increments to €57,503 (max) per annum. BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND – WEST REGION PERMANENT PART-TIME 4 x PERMANENT PART-TIME COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKERS TURAS FAMILY AND COMMUNITY SERVICES JOB REF: 84266 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Temporary and Permanent Community Support Worker appointments may be made over the next 6 months. Location: TURAS Family & Community Services is a community-based service based in Galway City, with a satellite service in the Ballinasloe and Tuam area. The service provides supports to children whom have varying abilities. We are primarily a community based service and are looking to gradually expand the geographical areas, in where we operate satellite services from. The posts will be located in Galway City and surrounding areas. The Role: The Community Support Workers role is exciting and innovative. This support is an alternative form of respite for families. As a Community Support Worker, you will be assigned a caseload where you will be providing support to a number of children and their families. In this role, you will be required to work as part of a team, as well as on your own initiative, and become an advocate for each child and family you are supporting. The role will involve supporting children that use our services, to actively participate in their communities where possible, promote community integration, social inclusion and life skills development. In this role, there may be identified goals to focus your supports on, which will work towards the model of community and social inclusivity. There may also be identified goals around supporting the child to participate in leisure and recreational activities, or assisting them in socialising in group situations with their peers. The Community Support Worker role within Turas Family and Community services, can take the form of after school supports, school holiday supports and Saturday clubs. There may be duties around providing personal care and following behaviour support plans. As part of the role you will be liaising with members of the Children’s Disability Network Teams and adhering to Brothers of Charity Services Ireland-West region policies and procedures in how the service operates. All employees will be required to support individuals to lead a full and valued life, and have the needs of each child and family, at the forefront of how the service operates. Qualifications/Experience/Skills: Essential: Working Hours: All posts are 50 hours a fortnight based on a 14 day duty roster to include working days, evenings, weekends and public holidays. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours in order to ensure the provision of high quality services for each individual Annual Leave: 22 days pro-rata per annum. Remuneration: Department of Health Care Assistant salary scale (01/03/2025) - €33,699 x 11 increments - €46,190 (Max) pro- rata per annum. BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES IRELAND – WEST REGION POST OF PERMANENT FULL -TIME AREA MANAGER, SKYLARK SERVICES, ATHENRY, GALWAY JOB REF: 83823 The Role: The Area Manager will be responsible for the development and overall management of the Skylark Adult Service in Athenry which is part of the East Sector Management Team. The Area Manager will be based in Athenry and will ensure the day to day management of the service area. Adult Services reflects the ethos and vision of the Brothers of Charity Services, and will foster and promote this vision in their relationships with the people supported by the services, their families, staff members, and the wider community. Reporting/Responsible to: Sector Manager Qualifications/Experience: • A nursing qualification, RNID/RNMH is an advantage and must be currently registered with the NMBI or a relevant third level qualification in the Health/Social Care Sector.
