Locum Community Facilitator roles are also available. Location: Boyle Adult Services (Boyle, Ballaghaderreen, Frenchpark areas). Staff allocation could be either within residential/respite/day settings or in community services or in an individual’s own home. The appointee will initially commence working in one particular area of the Boyle Adult services and this work location may change due to future service needs. The Role: The Community Facilitator will be involved in the development and implementation of the educational, social, vocational, recreational and personal development goals for people supported in the service. The successful candidate will take a lead in the day to day coordination of the service and have responsibility to fill a key worker role for the people supported by the services. Applications are invited for the following:- Social Care Leader / Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) – Ref: 38/2025 Permanent Full-Time (39 / 37.5 hours per week) Adult Respite Services, Garrettstown, Co. Cork AIM OF SERVICE AREA The aim of Respite Service is to provide planned care throughout the year which supports a family in the continued care and development of their adult with an intellectual disability. Meaningful activities are provided in an environment which is both stimulating and relaxing according to the individual needs for a safe and pleasant stay away from home. Services need to be flexible in the range of supports offered to families to meet their needs. The Respite Services Manager will be responsible for planning and developing a range of Respite Services. The Purpose The person/s appointed shall ensure that the vision is delivered through our core values of Person Centred Service. Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, national Legislation including Health Act 2007 and H.I.Q.A. regulations The normal working hours will be 39/37.5 hours per week (depending on qualification) however, flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and nights are involved. The person/s appointed shall, as well as partaking on the roster be responsible for the day-to-day management of the respite home reflecting the ethos and vision of the Brothers of Charity, operating within agreed policies and procedures and ensuring that the individual needs of person supported are being met by all workers therein. As a leader of the Respite Service team, the postholder will ensure that the interests of each person supported are paramount in discussions. Ongoing efforts by all staff to source and develop opportunities, for participation within the local community is expected. Reporting to the Service Manager / Person In Charge (PIC) Professional Qualifications and Experience etc. Candidates must Possess a level 7 in Social Care plus a level 8 or higher in health or management related 3rd level qualification on the Quality & Qualifications (QQI) framework.
