Job Advert Front of House Associate Full-time (35 hours per week) | Permanent | Candidate Criteria: Education The Purpose of This Role: The Front of House Associate will ensure all reception and switchboard duties are carried out professionally, efficiently and in a polite and welcoming manner at all times. He/she will work alone and work closely with other members of the Hospital teams for patients being treated at Bon Secours Hospital Limerick. This position combines concierge, wayfinding, switchboard, and patient follow-up responsibilities to ensure seamless communication, professional support, and an enhanced patient experience. All FOH Associates will rotate between Front Desk, Switchboard, and CSH Concierge duties, ensuring operational flexibility and full-service continuity Key Responsibilities: · Greet and assist all patients, visitors, consultants, and contractors in a welcoming and professional manner at our reception point of our hospital · Provide wayfinding support, ensuring patients are directed correctly to departments, clinics, or wards. · Assist with concierge services, including public transport, taxi bookings, parking, hospital restaurant services, and local amenities. · Support patients requiring mobility assistance or additional care, ensuring a safe and dignified experience. · Maintain a drop-off location for outgoing staff post and ensure post is collected and processed appropriately. · Maintain compliance with hospital security and visitor access procedures. · Undertake follow-up calls to surgical or clinic patients not reached by Patient Access, typically during evening shifts; record outcomes and escalate as needed. · Actively listen and respond to patient concerns or minor complaints, resolving on the spot where possible and escalating only when necessary. · Answer the switchboard promptly, screening all incoming telephone calls and directing them to the appropriate department or person. Take clear and accurate written messages when necessary. · Maintain full familiarity with the hospital telephone systems, troubleshooting or reporting any faults to ensure uninterrupted service. · Have comprehensive knowledge of the Hospital Paging System; conduct daily testing and accurate recording of the system’s status. · Respond to hospital paging alerts in strict accordance with hospital policy. · Monitor all incoming emails sent to our hospital main email, forwarding them to the relevant third parties promptly. Operating Department Practitioner Full-time (37.5 hours per week) | Permanent | Candidate Criteria: Qualifications · Registered ODP qualification and registered with HCPC. · Peri-operative Qualification (Desirable) Experience · Must have 2 years post registration experience in an acute hospital setting. · Up to date knowledge of clinical theory and best practice at a level relevant to number of years qualified. · Demonstrate a good understanding of surgical procedures. · Experience with an Electronic Health Record (Desirable) · Previous Peri Operative experience (Desirable) The Purpose of This Role: The Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical or anesthetic procedures. Working as an integral part of the multidisciplinary theatre team, the ODP ensures patient safety, dignity, and comfort at all times.
