Supervise, maintain and operate efficient and effective Catering Production and Distribution at RHM. Assist and facilitate the development and planning of services Supervise staff, contractors, specialists, delegated budget and day to day issues associated with the provision of Catering Services at RHM Responsible for ensuring the day to day production and distribution of meals, delivery and service to patients, staff and satellite locations as required and in accordance with National Standards and RHM policies and procedures. Eligibility Criteria Qualifications and/ or experience Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition (i) Hold the Bachelors of Arts. NFQ Level 7 in Hospitality Management awarded by Technical University Dublin https://www.tudublin.ie/study/undergraduate/courses/hospitality-management-tu745/?courseSubjects=Culinary%2C%20Hospitality%2C%20Tourism&keywords OR (ii) Hospitality Studies (Higher Certificate) (Level 6) awarded by the Munster Technical University https://www.cit.ie/course/cr657 OR (iii) A Diploma in Dietetics OR (iv) An equivalent qualification OR (v) Be currently employed in the HSE or funded agency as a Catering Officer AND (vi) Candidates must have at least three year’s satisfactory experience in the direction and control of the catering arrangements for an institution or other establishment catering for a minimum of 200 persons per day OR (vii) A total of at least five year’s satisfactory experience in the direction and control or in assisting in the direction and control of the catering arrangements for an institution or other establishment catering for a minimum of 200 persons per day AND (b) All candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. 2. Health Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service. 3. The post holder will provide strategic, clinical, and educational leadership in the management of deteriorating patients and resuscitation services within Regional Hospital Mullingar. The post holder is responsible to ensure compliance with national standards for the recognition and management of the deteriorating patient, including the Irish National Early Warning System (INEWS), Paediatric Early Warning System (PEWS), Irish Maternity Early Warning System (IMEWS) ,Sepsis Management for Adults (including Maternity), and Irish Heart Foundation Guidelines. The role encompasses clinical governance, education, audit, and quality improvement, supporting staff competency and promoting excellence in patient safety. Eligibility Criteria Qualifications and/ or experience 1. Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc (a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: i) Are registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) or entitled to be so registered. And ii) Have at least 5 years post registration experience of which 2 must be in the speciality area of Acute / Critical Care or a related field. And iii) Have the clinical, managerial and administrative experience relevant to the role to properly discharge the functions of the role to include significant experience in emergency department nursing and managing staff. iv) Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level. And (b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. 2. Annual Registration i) Practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann). And ii) Confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). 3.
