This includes managing their own finances, employment and learning to run their own home if they choose. Our focus is to: • Form genuine relationships and partnerships with each person supported and their family. • Support people to be valued citizens in their local community and to have ordinary life experiences. • Work to create opportunities for people who use our service to have valued social roles in their local communities and to have opportunities to form real friendships. The Role: The Senior Instructor/Supervisor will report to the Team Leader, and will fulfil a key worker role for individuals identified. We aim to provide a safe, secure environment where: • individuals participate in local community and leisure activities, • are supported to make personal choices, • enjoy a lifestyle that fulfils their potential and expectations • Individuals have the opportunity to engage in new experiences. The Senior Instructor/Supervisor will also be expected to stand in for the Team Leader in their absence, and be capable of assuming the role of senior person on duty when required, offering a point of contact, advice and support for the wider BEO Services if necessary. The successful candidate will initially be assigned to work within a specific BEO Day Service; however this work location may change depending on service needs. Reporting/Responsible To: Team Leader/ Service Coordinator/Area Manager Qualifications/Experience: • Candidates require a level 7 qualification relevant to the health sector. • Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in day services designing and implementing programmes to enable them to carry out successfully the duties of the post together with an appreciation of the needs of persons with an intellectual disability. • Experience in establishing links with the community and local enterprises is essential. • Experience in education, day services or creative arts is an advantage • Previous experience of shift leadership is highly desirable o A full clean manual Irish Driver’s Licence is essential. o Fluency in verbal and written English is an essential requirement of this post. Working Hours: 75 hours a fortnight based on a 5-day week duty roster. The normal working hours will be Monday – Friday but may involve weekend work if required to meet the needs of the people we support or Personal Outcomes. Contracted hours of work are liable to change from 8am to 8pm over 7 days to meet the requirements of the programme. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. The successful candidate will, on occasion, be required to demonstrate flexibility in their hours of work to support people with social events or short breaks. Agreed allowances are paid in respect of hours of work as appropriate. Annual Leave: 22 days per annum. We strive to provide such services and supports as will assist each in achieving these goals. BACKGROUND BOCSI has consolidated its primary information technology infrastructure and business application systems (Finance, Human Resources and Persons Supported Systems) over the past 3 years. A national datacentre has been deployed, and systems are being migrated from each region. Further, the key finance and HR systems have been migrated to SQL with further integration work required. Some legacy Microsoft Access based applications remain which run the Client Support Systems. The organisation currently operates across five distinct regions, each with non-standardised processes and reliance on paper-based timesheet systems. Payroll is managed through a custom-developed in-house system, which will receive data inputs from the new Rostering and Time and Attendance System. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF ROLE We are seeking an experienced and people-oriented Project Manager initially to lead the implementation of a new rostering and time and attendance system across the organisation. This is a high-impact role requiring a hands-on leader who can guide the project from planning to rollout, while engaging stakeholders and supporting frontline services through the change. In addition to project leadership, the Project Manager will be responsible for delivering training and on boarding support to staff, ensuring the system is well understood and fully embedded across all service areas. The project manager will work with teams across all five regions and will be required to support staff for key meetings in person and via teams, The role reports directly to the National Head of ICT with dotted lines to the Rostering and Time and Attendance Steering Committee, which comprises two Directors of Services, Head of Finance and Head of HR. The Project Manager will meet periodically with the Steering committee to review project rollout. This role is a vital step to guaranteeing the successful adoption and rollout of the Rostering and Time and Attendance System throughout the organisation eliminating the inefficiencies of excel time recording and paper-based systems and centralised time recording of data. This system will provide real-time access to reporting including European Working Time Directive information, reduce errors, and save front line managers and admin staff time. Importantly, having all regions' data on centrally managed digital systems enhances reporting for regulatory bodies, ensuring accurate, comprehensive, and timely compliance. Following the successful completion of the Rostering and Time & Attendance (T&A) project, this role will transition to support a range of payroll and finance-related initiatives. These include, but are not limited to, contributing to the implementation of HSE's National Integrated Staff Records and Pay Programme (NiSRP) system, reviewing and refining existing payroll processes to drive efficiency and compliance. The role will also involve close collaboration with ICT to ensure timely and effective integration of system changes. REPORTING/RESPONSIBLE TO: The role reports to the National Head of ICT. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field. EXPERIENCE The person selected must have: Proven experience in project management, ideally involving implementation of systems, software, or operational change in a complex environment. Excellent people and communication skills – able to inspire, influence, and support staff at all levels through change. Strong experience working with or supporting frontline services, preferably in a healthcare, public sector, or operational setting. Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training, both in group and one-on-one formats. High level of IT literacy, with a good understanding of how systems are used in rostering, scheduling, or attendance tracking. Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines. Proven experience collaborating with senior leadership to define project priorities, communicate key milestones, and manage risks and expectations throughout the implementation of complex payroll systems. Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions. Ability to adjust to shifting priorities, work under pressure, and respond flexibly to emerging needs in a fast-paced environment. Experience leading and motivating teams and have experience of working as a member of a team. The following are desirable but not essential: Relevant training or project management certifications (e.g., Train-the-Trainer, Project Management Professional) are advantageous. Knowledge or experience of payroll systems and processes – not essential, with opportunity to learn on the job. Experience in implementing or supporting rostering, time and attendance, or HRIS platforms. Familiarity with change management principles. Experience in healthcare or regulated service environments. REMUNERATION Department of Health Grade VII (Clerical) salary scale (01/03/2025) - €59,419 to €72,067 per annum. After three years on the maximum point, a Long Service Increment applies bringing the annual salary to €74,650 gross basic per annum. After a further three years another Long Service Increment applies bring the annual salary to the maximum of €77,243 per annum. WORKING HOURS The normal working week will be a 70-hour fortnight; however, flexible hours including weekends and evenings may be involved on occasion. Starting and finishing times will be notified to, and agreed with, the appointee from time to time by the CIO. These times may be outside ‘normal’ operational times and must be approved by your manager. TRAVEL The person appointed must provide his/her own car and must furnish an indemnity from Insurers in favour of the employer. The successful candidate must on taking up the post of Team Leader: a) Be registered by An Board Altranais R.N.I.D is desirable b) Have at least 5 years post qualification/registration experience gained with an up-to-date knowledge of current thinking and practice in services for people with intellectual disability. c) Have adequate training and experience pertinent to people with challenging behaviour and severe to profound Intellectual Disabilities. d) Be a holder of a current Irish Driving Licence. e) Have 3 years’ experience at management level in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care. f) Hold a management qualification g) Working knowledge and understanding of requirements of HIQA standards. · Competitive Rates of Pay (€60,854 - €76,897 pro-rata) · Defined Benefit Pension Plan · Flexible Working Hours · Full Training provided · Full & Part-Time Work · Career Progression · Sick Pay Benefits · Employee Assistance Program The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is an Equal Opportunities Employer
