Date: June 2026 MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB of a wide-ranging, professional and confidential administrative support service to the Capital Works Projects team with regard to all aspects of the service area. Ensure day-to-day administrative activities are completed on time and to a high standard of accuracy and quality. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Service Delivery 1.1. Provision of general secretarial/administrative support to assigned senior staff within Capital Works Projects, to include maintaining diaries and scheduling meetings, screening telephone calls and emails, respond to routine internal correspondence and prepare outgoing mail taking appropriate actions as required. 1.2. Provision of a general administration service to the Capital Works Projects function, including word processing, maintenance of spreadsheets and databases, PowerPoint presentations, photocopying and scanning, localised filing systems and dealing with general enquires from the public. 1.3. Devise and maintain office systems to deal with the flow and storage of files and information both electronically and hard copy in compliance with auditing procedures. 1.4. Collate and produce management information and Committee/Council reports as directed. 1.5. Digger Driver / Excavator Operator (Waste Management)
Job Purpose The Digger Driver/Excavator Operator plays a critical role in the daily throughput of our waste management facility. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating 360-degree tracked or wheeled excavators (often equipped with selector grabs, buckets, or shears) to move, sort, stack, and load various waste materials into processing machinery, shredders, or transport vehicles. Key Responsibilities 1. Machine Operation & Material Handling · Safely operate heavy excavators with various attachments (grabs, buckets, magnets, etc.) in a high-density, fast-paced environment. · Feed processing equipment (such as shredders, screeners, and balers) with a continuous and steady flow of raw material. · Load bulk transport trailers and ejectors efficiently, ensuring payloads are optimized and secured without exceeding legal weight limits. 2. Routine Maintenance & Inspection · Conduct mandatory pre-start (daily) and post-start inspection checklists on the assigned machinery (checking oil levels, coolant, hydraulics, tracks/tyres, bucket teeth, and hoses). · Report any mechanical faults, damage, or wear and tear immediately to the maintenance team or Site Supervisor. · Keep the operator cab clean, tidy, and free of hazards. · Assist with basic maintenance tasks (e.g., greasing pins, cleaning filters, and refuelling) as required. 3. Clinical Nurse Manager, Cardiac Catheterisation Lab, University Hospital
Details of Service Cork University Hospital (CUH) has approximately 800 beds and this will increase further to 1,000 beds on completion of the transfer of additional services to the CUH campus. CUH currently employs approximately 4,571 (WTE) staff of multiple professions and is the primary teaching hospital for the Faculty of Health and Science in University College Cork (UCC). UCC is the Academic partner of the South/South West Hospital Group. CUH has very strong relationships with each of the six schools within the Science Faculty of UCC and this is a key area for future development to maximise the opportunities for both the service and academia. CUH is a recommended Major Trauma Centre for the Republic of Ireland due to the wide range of specialties delivered by the hospital – including Neurosciences, Cardiac Services, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Renal, Internal Medicine, Vascular, Ophthalmology, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Maxillary-Facial, Paediatrics, Intensive Care, Oncology, Haematology, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Neonatology and Emergency Medicine. CUH is the tertiary referral centre for the HSE Southern area, and the supra regional area of Limerick, Clare, Tipperary, Waterford and Kilkenny. CUH therefore acts as a regional centre for secondary and tertiary care for the catchment population of approx. 550,000 served by the HSE Southern area and a supra-regional centre for a total a population of 1.2 million. Cath Lab CUH The Cath Lab suite comprises of 2 catheterisation laboratories, an electrophysiology laboratory, and a Hybrid laboratory. Patients are admitted to a 10 bedded Day / Recovery area. The Catheterisation Laboratory carries out invasive and interventional procedures to treat patients with known or suspected cardiac problems, such as angiograms, angioplasty, valvuloplasty, Trans Aortic Valve Implantations (TAVI’s) as well as permanent pacemaker and internal cardiac defibrillator implantations, electrophysiological studies and ablations. Emergency interventional cardiology services are available 24/7 as part of the HSE primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)/ ST Elevation Myocardial Infraction (STEMI) programme. Purpose of the Post The post of CNM2 has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area.
