INITIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Co-ordinate and implement the School Completion Programme plan as drawn up with the Local Management Committee in line with the agreed budget. ·Report and work under the direction of the School Completion Programme Local Management Committee in relation to all aspects of the project ·Provide direct support to the targeted young people as required. ·Organise and facilitate the provision of in-school, out-of-school, after school and holiday time supports for the targeted young people · Establish and maintain strong links with all relevant agencies ·Ensure the active participation of the other relevant partners ·Provide regular professional supervision to the Project Workers ensuring a high quality of work. ·Participate in training organised through TESS. ·Monitor and evaluate the quality of the programme through completing an Annual Report and Retention Plan to be submitted to TESS. ·Keep a comprehensive report and descriptions of all aspects of the Programme recording successes, failures and changes ·Identify and facilitate, in consultation with the School Completion Programme Local Management Committee, the provision of relevant in-service training for SCP Project Workers. ·Complete quarterly financial returns and annual Financial Compliance Reports to TESS. ·Co-operate with the Department of Education and TESS in relation to the evaluation and audit of the Programme and the collection of data and furnishing of reports required on a timely basis. PERSON SPECIFICATION ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS Education Candidates must hold, as a minimum, a QQI level 8 Qualification in Youth Work, Education or other related discipline relevant to the role. Driving Licence Full clean valid driver’s licence and access to a car is essential. Remuneration: €46,664 - €76,291 (including 2 Long Service Increments)IMPORTANT NOITCE RE: SALARY: As per DES guidelines, new appointees who are entering this grade for the first time will start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit may only apply, if, immediately prior to appointment, the appointee is already a serving Civil or Public Servant. Rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Starting Salary is not subject to negotiation Hours of work: A 35-hour week is in operation. Hours may be adjusted from time to time under relevant Public Sector Agreements. The SCP Coordinator role is a full time post and requires flexibility in working hours over the whole year i.e. 52 weeks to provide the appropriate programmes for children and young people in school, after school, during school holiday periods and in the out of school setting. Annual leave: The Annual Leave entitlement for this post is 26 days. Permanent Guidance Information Officer
Responsibilities: 1. To support the development of the Guidance, Information and Recruitment Service throughout GRETB as well as the establishment of GRETB Admission Unit. 2. Develop and maintain an up to date paper based and computer based systems in respect of clients, groups and information resources. 3. Develop, implement and maintain an effective and user-friendly information service which supports the aims and objectives of the Guidance, Information and Recruitment Service. 4.Contribute to and organise events, marketing activities, and promotional materials which promote GRETB and the Guidance, Information and Recruitment Service to clients, groups and other agencies. 5.Contribute, as appropriate, to the on-going development and maintenance of the service. This position requires Candidates to possess the following: · Have obtained at least Grade D3 in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate Examination (higher, ordinary, applied or vocational programmes) or equivalent or have passed an examination at the appropriate level within the QQI qualifications framework which can be assessed as being of a comparable to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent or higher or have appropriate relevant experience which encompasses equivalent skills and expertise. Certificate in Adult Guidance would be advantageous. ·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience of working with hard-to-reach target categories and groups. ·Excellent organisational, administrative, time management, report writing and ICT skills. ·Ability to work as a member of team and on own initiative. · Ability to operate flexibly in a range of tasks. ·Experience in adult/further education and training and knowledge of learning, training and employment opportunities and the range of services/support available to the client target groups is desirable. ·The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders. · Ability to maintain effective client records and operate within boundaries of confidentiality and General Data Protection Regulations. · Capacity to discharge the duties of the post effectively through the medium of Irish would be an advantage. ·Full driving licence and access to a car. It includes all forms of enabling personal care and [other] practical personal assistance provided [to] [for] an individual who by reason of illness, frailty or disability is in need of such care and personal assistance. ROLE: To provide practical Home Support (IADL’s) on behalf of Clarecare’s Home Support Service to service users to enable service users live at home in a safe secure and comfortable way. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this role is to deliver a safe, effective & efficient Home Support service in line with required practice standards, to support older people (with assessed support needs) and where relevant, their specified person(s) (e.g. family, friends who provide care) so as to enable the service user to be as independent as possible in their own home, for as long as possible. The successful candidate will work as part of the team in Clarecare and liaise regularly with same. Flexibility and willingness to travel is essential. You may be required to work outside of normal hours if necessary. Training and supervision (including shadowing where relevant) will be provided to the successful candidate. JOB RELATIONS: The Home Support Worker, will report to the Home Support Area Manager in the relevant geographical area and work as part of a wider Home Support Service team in Clarecare. Home Support Area Managers report into the Home Support Service Manager within Clarecare who has overall responsibility for Clarecare’s Home Support Service. S/he will link with other relevant Departments/Services within Clarecare as relevant and also liaise with (PHN) Public Health Nurses and other Health Support Professionals, where relevant, as part of the role. HOURS OF WORK: This is a part-time permanent role (subject to receipt of continued funding from HSE as Service Provider and successful completion of 12 months probationary period). Due to the nature of Home Support Services for Older People in the Community and HSE’s Service Provider terms of business (i.e. HSE as Service Provider offers hours for service users to Clarecare and other similar Home Support Agencies); we are unable to ascertain at any given time, the volume of business being offered/provided by HSE as Service Provider and therefore, are unable to offer regular work hours to the Home Support Worker. However, as per The Employment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2018, at the end of an initial 12 months continuous service (probationary period) with Clarecare, Home Support Workers may apply to be placed on a fixed band of hours that include the average hours worked by them in the previous 12 months period. A Home Support Worker’s normal hours of work will be as outlined on the Personal Support Plan Assignment roster relevant to each Service User and hours of work provided are solely based on service user needs assessment. Amendments to assigned work hours/duties can only be made/approved by the Home Support Area Manager or designate. The Service reserves the right to alter these working hours/assigned duties from time to time based on the needs of the Service User. JOB LOCATION: The position offered is based in the community providing Home Support services to vulnerable service users in the community. The successful candidate will be required to travel as part of their daily role and may be requested from time to time, to travel to other Clarecare centre locations in the course of his/her work as and when required e.g. for training purposes, etc. Therefore, a full clean current driver’s licence, use of own vehicle for work purposes, and willingness to indemnify Clarecare re using your car for business purposes is essential for this role.
