We currently have a vacancy for an Associate Lecturer in Engineering (Fixed Term Contract up to 02/08/2027) JOB PURPOSE To become a member of the teaching team in current courses of study and assist with future developments. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA 1. Hold GCSE English (Grade A-C) / Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Communication; and GCSE Maths (Grade A-C) / Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or NICATS Access Maths Modules; 2. Hold a University Degree* in an appropriate Engineering related discipline OR 3. Hold a qualification in an appropriate Engineering related discipline which is at least Level 5 on the National Qualification Framework (NQF – revised September 2004) or on the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) Plus Have 3 years relevant industrial, professional or business experience. Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years’ experience in either of the following areas: Manufacturing automation e.g robotics, pneumatics/hydraulics, PLC control Computer Aided Design (CAD) Manufacturing Engineering / Quality / Health and Safety / Environmental / Planning and Methods An area where a basic understanding of Engineering Maths / Science could be demonstrated For further information on the main duties and responsibilities and criteria for this role, please see attached Job Description.

JOB PURPOSE The post holder will be responsible for successful execution of the Accelerated Knowledge Transfer project as defined in the associated Project Plan. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Hold a minimum of a Level 4 qualification in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Have recent experience in the use of 3D Computer Aided Design software (SolidWorks, Fusion etc.) Hold a current driving licence and have access to a car or have access to a form of transport that will enable the post-holder to fulfil the role in full. Demonstrate familiarity with the product design process workflow, from ideation and concept stage, through prototyping, testing, refinement and productionisation. Demonstrate ability to deal professionally with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally Self-motivated with the ability to progress several tasks simultaneously and maintain timescales, including when working under pressure. * Please be advised that Essential Criteria 4-6 will be assessed at interview only. Youth Housing Worker
YOUTH HOUSING WORKER (NIGHTS) Are you passionate about helping young people and could you support them as they transition into adulthood and learn to live by themselves? MACS provides 24/7 supported housing for young people aged between 16 and 21, who are leaving care, or who may be homeless. Young people can live with us for up to 2 years before moving into the community. Youth Housing Workers provide an accessible point of contact at night and weekends to promote the protection and safeguarding of young people living at MACS and help them to build skills and confidence to maintain their own homes.
