Job Title: Warehouse Operatives - Night Operations Department: Hub Operations Reports to: Hub Supervisor and Team Lead About the Company: DPD Ireland leads the field in next day parcel delivery throughout Ireland, with 37 regionally based collection and delivery depots and a state of the art central sorting hub in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. Purpose of the role: The purpose of this role is to maintain an efficient flow of goods by unloading delivery trucks, processing items through sorting systems, and reloading them onto the correct trailers safely and quickly. By keeping the workspace tidy and the labels accurate, you ensure that every package stays on track to reach the customer on time. This role is a fixed term contract up to the 23rd December 2026. Job Responsibilities: Loading of parcels onto conveyor systems Unloading parcels from sorterLoading trailers loosely, palletised and/or onto cages Warehouse housekeeping Open to variations in job role, as required Inventory and stock control Parcel labelling/relabelling The above list is not an exhaustive list of duties. Experience Preferred: Previous experience working in a warehouse. Contract Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract Contract Hours: 23.4 hours per week (0.60 WTE) Salary Scale: €35,771 - €43,288 pro rata per annum. Hourly rate €17.64 to €21.35. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments) Annual Leave Entitlement : 30 days pro rata per annum Overview of the Post: To work as a member of the team providing respite services in County Meath. To work with the children /young people through a person-centred approach to meet their identified needs while attending afterschool / weekend respite. This post will involve week day/ after school hours and weekend work.
