We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our animal management team here at Northern Regional College. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the college’s animal management courses at both NRC Magherafelt and Coleraine campuses. The role involves preparing practical sessions, supporting delivery of animal handling and theory sessions, maintaining animal welfare standards and caring for a range of small animals (e.g. rabbits, guinea pigs, small rodents, fish etc.). Please see the job specifications for more details. This is a temporary fixed term contract for 1 year with the possibility of extension. We are the main provider of further education across four of the 11 council areas in Northern Ireland. Employment Navigator (Ref: E/EN/D/625) Job details: Hours: 35 hours per week Salary: £29,636.34 per annum Contract: Fixed term initially until March 31st 2026 (may be extended subject to funding) Location: Derry/Londonderry Key responsibilities: Bryson exists to make the greatest difference to the greatest need. The Maximise Employment Navigator will engage: 500 hardest to reach economically inactive people in localities of multiple deprivation across Northern Ireland to deliver in community-based settings: · 4,000 tailored, intensive, wrap-around, one-to-one support sessions up to 1hr long (i.e., average of 8 per beneficiary) including life and basic skills sessions i.e., digital, English, maths, ESOL 2,250 “check-ins” following employment. This will enable beneficiaries to gain and sustain employment and increase their skills levels to maximise their potential. Peaceplus Project Officer, Green Clubs
The College is seeking applications for a PEACEPLUS Project Officer - Green Clubs for an 18 month fixed-term post. The postholder will provide support to sports clubs to undergo environmental ‘green’ transformation and embed sustainability within their own clubs and on a cross-community basis. ‘GREEN CLUBS’ PROJECT INFORMATION A project supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The project will focus on raising awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, building leadership and capacity, sharing best practice, supporting the delivery of practical environmental initiatives and the development and dissemination of a ‘Green Club Toolkit’. This is a fully tendered project led by North West Regional College via PeacePlus funding and with strategic links to the Green Infrastructure Team (Environment and Regeneration Directorate) at Derry City and Strabane District Council. Strategic Asset Manager
Responsible for the implementation and delivery of the Council’s Estates Strategy to ensure the Council’s assets are managed and safeguarded in accordance with legislative requirements, governance arrangements, policies, procedures and best practice. As Council’s Asset Management Champion, develop and lead on an Asset Management Plan, in accordance with the Council’s Estates Strategy, to manage and optimise the value derived from land and property assets. Responsible for the establishment of an Asset forum and the performance of the asset base and associated outcomes. Oversee the management of the Councils Asset Register. Oversee the Council’s land and property portfolio, including management of the Land and Property Team, and servicing the Land & Property Sub-Committee. PLEASE NOTE: Only application forms containing all the information which has been sought will be considered. The shortlisting panel will base shortlisting decisions on the information contained within the Essential Criteria narrative sections of the application form, however Desirable Criteria may be used. It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide sufficient relevant information including dates in this section of the form for each criteria. A reserve list may be established in order to fill future permanent and temporary posts that may arise for another similar vacancy within the following 12 months. Should a similar post become available within this time period, the post may be offered to those candidates on the reserve list, in order of merit, without the requirement for a further interview.
