The Muiriosa Foundation is currently seeking a reliable and caring Bus Escort to support individuals with intellectual disabilities during their daily transport to and from our services in Mullingar, Delvin and Castlepollard. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team that values respect, inclusion and compassion. The role will involve responsibility for the safety of the individuals during their pick up from their home to day service and return trip in the evening ensuring individuals are seated with seatbelts safely. Candidates will assist the individuals to board and alight safely from the bus as per risk assessment and care plans. They will be responsible for liaising with staff in the relevant hubs and maintain a good working relationship with the driver of the bus. The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong interest in supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/ or autism. Experience in the disability sector is preferred including behaviours of concern. Requirements: Please note that the successful candidate will be required to be available Monday to Friday.
