The core work of SUSI involves the annual processing of large numbers of online grant applications within short timeframes to determine eligibility under the criteria of the Student Grant Scheme. Approximately 100,000 grant applications are received on an annual basis. SUSI has also broadened its functions in recent years and now provides services relating to the 1916 Bursary, the International Protection Student Scheme , the PLC Bursary for Displaced Persons (Ukraine), the National Tertiary Office Programmes and the All-Ireland Scholarship. The Programme for Access to Higher Education (PATH) was established by the Department of Education and Skills in 2016 to support the implementation of the National Plan for Equity of Access (NAP). The second of the PATH strands (PATH 2, also known as the 1916 Bursary Fund) was first announced by the Minister for Education and Skills on 30 December 2017. The 1916 Bursary is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (DFHERIS) and aims to encourage participation and success by students who are most socio-economically disadvantaged and from groups most under-represented in higher education. To be eligible for a 1916 Bursary, all applicants must meet, Financial, Priority Group and College Entry eligibility criteria. This fund is allocated on a competitive basis to the six regional clusters of higher education institutions, which include all publicly funded HEIs. Each participating college has a limited number of bursaries which are awarded to the eligible applicants that present the greatest need through using a points-based system for applicants eligible to receive the Bursary. Working closely with all key stakeholders such as the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science and the Higher Education Authority, the Co-Ordinator will work to achieve the necessary policy changes for SUSI as an awarding authority to fully administer the operations of the 1916 Bursary. The Co-Ordinator will act as a representative for the 1916 Bursary Cluster Leads and SUSI, representing them and their views at various working groups, high-level meetings and workshops ensuring clear communication between all parties. Basic Grade Pharmacy Technician – Full-time, Fixed Term (6 Months) Responsibilities: To work collaboratively with other members of the Pharmacy team and Departments in the Hospital to ensure that patient care is central to all activities of the Pharmacy Department. To participate in continuous professional development and training. To participate in audit and quality improvement. To participate in relevant Committees eg Drug and Therapeutics. To promote medication safety and reporting of medication safety events. Purpose of Position: To deliver the Early Learning Initiative’s Doodle Den Programme The Early Learning Initiative is seeking to recruit primary school teacher or someone with a background in Early years education/Community Work/Social care to fill a part time (5.5 hours per week) position for an afterschool literacy programme for Senior Infants in Dublin’s inner-city area. Overview of the Post: The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a Social Work service to children and families accessing the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) 2 - Ballyboden. These supports include providing assessments and interventions to children accessing the team and for the effective delivery of a quality social work supports, meeting the ongoing complex and challenging needs of children and families. Must be registered in the Social Work Register maintained by the Social Work Registration Board at CORU And ii. Maintain live annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU And iii. Have 3 years relevant post qualification experience And iv. Must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, professional and managerial ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office · Eligible to work in the state · Hold a valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transport in order to deliver services across a large geographical area Desirable Criteria: · 1 years’ experience as a Senior Grade, or in other similar type role. · Experience working with children with disabilities and their families. · Experience in providing training to parents and other professionals. · Experience in supervision of staff. · Experience in managing resources.
