Production Operator / Machine Operator - Bandon €14.73 We are seeking experienced Production Operators / Machine Operators for a leading Production Facility in Bandon, West Cork. Candidates will be required for start dates throughout October and November 2024. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 6 months experience preferably in a food producing facility or in a regulated manufacturing environment. These vacancies will involve working in a fast paced production environment, where GMP will be adhered to as well as all on site SOP’s being followed strictly. Previous exposure to a HACCP environment and/or work within a BRC accredited site a strong advantage. Please be advised these roles will operate on a shift basis, incorporating 12 hours shifts, alternating between days/nights and averaging 39 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Skills and Experience required: · Previous exposure to HACCP or work within a BRC accredited site a strong advantage. Knowledge and awareness of hygiene standards to maintain clean work areas. Experience of operating / troubleshooting food production machinery is advantageous. Experience in product inspection, packaging and labels, reporting defects and ensuring compliance with customers needs. Strong attention to detail is essential. Basic IT skills for logging production data, tracking inventory or other administrative tasks.. Ability to work as part of a team, collectively problem solve. Previous experience of operating Forklifts or previous certification would be beneficial Above all candidates will need to be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Candidates will have previously worked in a role that involved responsibility & accountability. Candidates will need to be able to multitask, work to a number of deadlines at once & excel at working as a part of a team. Ability to maintain a cool head under pressure is essential Successful candidates will work a shift roster, which includes a mix of days / nights. Shift times will be 7am to 7pm and/or 7pm to 7am. 12 Hour Shifts, 3 weeks of 3 x 12 hours shifts & 1 week of 4 x 12 hour shifts out of every 4. Giving a weekly average of 39 hours. Working Monday to Friday primarily. Overtime available during peak times. Hourly Pay Rate €14.73 (Additional Performance related gross bonus paid weekly, dependant on team / line hitting targets.)
