We require a Trainee Automation Operator for our client, Huhtamaki, a leading food packaging company, delivering packaging for some of the world’s largest food service brands. Reporting to the Finishing Manager, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the automation process efficiently works in tandem with the associated Gluing department to allow lines to perform to expected levels.  Pay Rate : £11.44 - £15.92 Per Hour  Working Hours: 3-Day Working Week, 2 weeks day shifts and 2 weeks night shifts Days: 6am - 6pm or 6.30am - 6.30pm Nights: 6pm - 6am or 6.30pm - 6.30am Job Type: Full TIme, Permanent Job criteria: Essential: - English language proficiency Desirable: - Experience of working in an automated work environment - Experience of using computer systems - Ability to operate automated systems Additional Information: This Trainee Automation Operator position is in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Creative Industries New Entrants programme (CINE) is a new initiative which aims to broaden access to the screen and creative industries at entry level. Funded by the Department for Communities and working in partnership with BBC Northern Ireland, the scheme will help identify new talent. JOB DESCRIPTION Trainee Special Effects Technician What you will be doing: At Ignite sfx, we consider good time keeping and safety awareness to be of the upmost importance. A general knowledge and experience using basic hand tools is essential to the building/repair and operation of equipment. As this is a busy workshop environment, the ability to think on your feet, communicate well and adapt to the changing needs of the workshop will be required. You will be able to follow specific job tasks as they arise. As the Trainee you will be assisting technicians with specific builds so you must be able to work as part of a team. You’ll be working with metal, welding, cutting and heavy lifting. You will be prepping workspaces ahead of time, so the space is safe to start work. You will also get the opportunity to contribute to the idea creation and execution of builds. Having an interest in other areas which require a hands-on approach is desirable.
