Prism Agri-food Research & Innovation Co-ordinator
The College is seeking applications for 3 PRISM Agri-Food Research & Innovation (R&I) Co-ordinators for fixed-term 3 year posts. The postholders will be based at the SMEs’/companies’ premises with limited time spent at the Strand Road or Limavady Campuses. The post holder will work as an embedded R&I Co-ordinator – Agri-Food, to help drive real change in the Agri-Food sector helping participating SMEs (Small & Medium Enterprises)/Companies with innovation and decarbonisation. Additionally, they will support the PRISM Agri-Food Cluster Manager and Foodovation™ Centre to ensure the successful delivery of the PRISM programme. The role involved providing support to a number of agri-food SMEs, helping them find and introduce low-carbon solutions, sustainable methods, and new or improved products or processes within their manufacturing sectors. The post holder will work with each SME to design and put in place strategies that drive measurable improvements in efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness across the participating SMEs. Technical Consultant, Digital Technologies
The College is seeking applications for a Technical Consultant in Digital Technologies as part of the PEACEPLUS Smart Villages Network Project, to be based at our Strand Road campus. The Technical Consultant will provide strategic and hands-on support in new digital technologies to a network of 12 innovation hubs, which are at various stages of development, some already established and active, others currently being set up. These hubs serve as community anchors to drive digital adoption, support local businesses, and foster innovation-led growth across the region. The consultant will play a vital role in helping each hub assess and adopt new technologies, advising procurement, and delivering training and workshops tailored to local and regional needs. They will collaborate closely with hub coordinators, the NWRC innovation team, and external partners to ensure a consistent, effective, and future-focused approach. The Smart Village Network Project (SVNP) is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The Central Statistics Office (CSO) frequently hire Temporary and Permanent Household Survey Interviewers to conduct essential surveys across Ireland. With an average of 25.15 hours per week, this role is designed for individuals who can work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to best reach survey participants. Interviewers will be assigned to locations based on their home address, as surveys are conducted nationwide. Successful candidates may work on various surveys, including the Labour Force Survey (LFS), Survey of Income and Living Conditions (SILC), Household Budget Survey (HBS), and the Growing Up in Ireland study. Job summary We are recruiting for a Customer Service role within the Customer Care department. You will be responsible for overseeing all matters relating to Customer Care of the Internet Brands associated with Complaints, Trustpilot, social media & Telephone calls. You will ensure the business is fulfilling its obligations regarding the regulatory requirements when dealing with and handling complaints. You will receive and respond to all formal complaints and data access requests relating to the Internet business. You will oversee all matters relating to telephone calls received through the cancellation line and internal diary requests. You will also respond to all social media comments from Twitter, Trustpilot Google reviews and the Blog. Essential Criteria Minimum of 2 passes at GCSE at Grade ‘C’ or above, or equivalent / higher qualifications (including English Language and Math’s related subject). Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Experience and proven knowledge of Call Handling Systems. Able to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality. Minimum of 12 months’ experience in Customer Services, preferably in the insurance industry but not essential. Excellent and proven decision-making skills. Must be willing to pursue APA/ CIP insurance qualifications. Desirable Excellent knowledge of Complaints handling, FCA and TCF rules & regulations. Benefits 37.5 hour per week (Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm). Hybrid model - after successfully completing training it is one week in the office and one week at home. You must have own facilities to work from home, strong internet connection and a private room to work. Casual Streetscape Operative
Working Hours: 37 hours per week Salary - Scale 2 SCP 5 which is £13.2603 per hour KEY PURPOSE Undertake Streetscape Services in all weather conditions using a range of equipment in the effective delivery of front line street and other cleansing services within the Derry City and Strabane District Council area. Operatives are required to provide Streetscape Services in all areas within the Council district. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES All Streetscape Operatives will be required to: 1. Undertake all Streetscape services as directed. This may include working individually or as part of a team using manual and or mechanical equipment. 2. Undertake Streetscape operations in accordance with allocated work schedules ensuring that all operations are completed in full consideration of local and national quality standards. Dispose of waste materials at designated disposal points. 3. Ensure that Streetscape operations, including use of equipment, are carried out in full consideration of health and safety obligations, safe systems of work, operating procedures, reporting all incidents and accidents to the Line Manager. 4. Complete and maintain records with regard to work patterns, customer complaints, service issues, reporting to supervisor / nominated officer as appropriate. Completion and return of accident / incident reports to Line Manager. 5. Carry out daily equipment checks reporting defects to the supervisor / nominated officer. Undertake daily maintenance and cleansing of equipment. 6. Undertake either individually or as part of a team, duties concerned with Streetscape & Cemeteries Grounds operations as and when required. 7. Assist, advise and deal with enquiries/complaints from the public in the delivery of services in a polite, courteous and professional manner. Report all complaints/service enquiries to Supervisor and distribute customer information leaflets etc as and when required by the Supervisor. 8. Act with due care and attention for the health and safety in respect of self, other employees and the general public in compliance with safe systems of work and toolbox talks to comply with guidelines set down by the Council, legislation etc. 9. Participate in and ensure compliance with all Council policies and procedures and operate within the highest standards of personal behaviour which reflect the core values of the organisation. 10. Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety requirements and legislation in accordance with Council’s Policies and Procedures. 11. Undertake any other duties appropriate to scale, which may be required from time to time. 12. Comply with and actively promote the Council’s policies and procedures on all aspects of equality.
