Director of Estates and Facilities (Assistant National Director - Support) Permanent Full Time This office will liaise with the Director of Major Capital Development to review projects and operate as a capital programme function. The Estates & Facilities team will generally deal with capital projects less than of ten million euro. However, the thresholds may be adjusted to suit projects and MMUH needs and requirements. Should there be a dispute on this, the CEO’s office will decide the most suitable avenue and this financial cut of point will be reviewed annually by the CEO’s office to ensure it remains appropriate. Staff Nurse Ophthalmology
The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical interventions in accordance with established standards and organisational policies. This role ensures safe and compassionate care, supports patients and families through education and advocacy, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, and contributing to a positive, efficient healthcare environment. The nurse will promote best practices, maintains compliance with regulatory requirements, and uphold the organisation’s values and commitment to excellence in patient outcomes in their allocated ward / area / directorate. This is specifically for the Ophthalmology Department which is predominantly a Monday to Friday service. There are no night shifts and occasional Saturday shifts only once specific training has been completed. They average at one 6-hour Saturday shift in a 16 week period. The role will include rotating through the whole of Ophthalmology which comprises of a Day Surgery Unit, Outpatient Clinic, Injection Suite and Eye Emergency Department. St. Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) operates across three sites – St. Luke’s Radiation Oncology Centre at St. Luke’s Hospital, St. Luke’s Radiation Oncology Centre at St. James’s Hospital, and St. Luke’s Radiation Oncology Centre at Beaumont Hospital. St. Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network is dedicated to being a world class leader in cancer treatment, patient care, research and education. In striving for this excellence, the holistic needs of our patients and their families are our greatest concern. Multidisciplinary teams, consisting of medical, nursing, health and social care professionals, management and general support staff work together in the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of services within the hospital. A Quality Assurance In Radiotherapy (QART) group is in place in SLRON with representatives from all disciplines involved in radiotherapy treatment and planning. QART has oversight of and manages all aspects quality assurance in radiotherapy across the network and liaises with other relevant Quality, Patient Safety & Risk committees in the Network. QART was established in line with the National Quality Assurance Framework for Radiation Oncology in Ireland (NCCP, 2018) The current vacancy is for 0.5 whole time equivalent post.
