Spinal Cord System of Care (SCSC) Programme Manager Permanent Full Time Purpose of the Position: Under General supervision of the Director of Operations/ Deputy Chief Executive Officer and clinical authority of the Clinical Director, The SCSC Programme Manager will provide leadership for the programme and engage strategically with internal and external stakeholders to drive the development and implementation of national rehabilitation strategy and services for the SCSC and other NRH rehabilitation patient cohorts. The main duties and responsibilities of the programme manager, with and on behalf of the interdisciplinary team, will include: The candidate must possess the following on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office: Qualifications The candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office, possess: • Relevant 3rd level health or professional qualification, with MSc. or higher preferred. • Qualification in a relevant clinical area that is validated by the Department of Health & Children is desirable. • Evidence of professional development post qualification is desirable. • Further qualifications in business or health management desirable. • Substantial and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of higher qualifications. Experience The candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office, possess: • Greater than 5 years post qualification clinical or professional work experience within a health care setting, with experience in comprehensive spinal cord injury rehabilitation setting preferred. • At least 3 years of management or supervisory experience in the delivery of health or rehabilitation services, including line management of staff preferably in an interdisciplinary setting is desirable. • Good clinical knowledge of issues related to spinal cord injury rehabilitation and care of the individuals served by the programme. • Knowledge of other relevant important stakeholders and service providers related to care of the target population is desirable • Working knowledge and experience in design, implementation and control of various quality control and accreditation standards is desirable. • Evidence of project management and/or health service developments is desirable. This is a rare job opportunity for a motivated dietitian to gain experience in paediatric disability, supporting clients presenting with multiple and complex disabilities. The role encompasses supporting the medical care of infants and children attending CRC. In addition, working collaboratively within multidisciplinary specialist teams, the clinical specialist dietitian will provide comprehensive dietetic care to children with complex feeding difficulties, rare neurodevelopmental presentations and children requiring nutritional support. The postholder will benefit from working within a progressive disability-focused organisation and will have a pivotal role in developing and enhancing the delivery of dietetic activities within CRC. The successful candidate will be involved in continuous professional development within multidisciplinary teams and will receive on-going clinical supervision and managerial support.
