The Role: The Area Manager will be responsible for the development and overall management of the Bruach na Mara Adult Services in the West Sector. The Area Manager will ensure the day to day management of the service area, will reflect the ethos and vision of the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland, and will foster and promote this vision in their relationships with the people supported by the services, their families, staff members, and the wider community. Reporting/Responsible to: Sector Manager, Adult West Sector. Qualifications/Experience: • A nursing qualification, RNID/RNMH is an advantage and must be currently registered with the NMBI or a relevant third level qualification in the Health/Social Care Sector. Candidates must be eligible for registration on the Social Care Register at CORU on or before 30th November 2025. However, if you are not proficient in the Irish language, the services will support you to develop your proficiency with Irish language classes. Skills: Excellent leadership, managerial and team-working skills are required to co-ordinate and support the service teams and to ensure that a range of high quality services are provided. Excellent communication and organisational skills together with up to date knowledge of current thinking and practices in person centred service delivery. Proficient in ICT skills with a good working knowledge of IT systems. Working Hours: 75 hours a fortnight. Contracted hours of work are liable to change between the hours of 8am – 8pm over seven days to meet the requirements of the programme. The roster varies in order to meet the needs of the service and accordingly you are required to be flexible in regard to your working hours. Participation in on call roster is an essential part of this post. There is an expectation that a Manager at this level will interface with external agencies and attend meetings outside of normal working hours, positively promoting the work of the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. Annual Leave: 28 days per annum Remuneration: Department of Health DON Band 4 salary scales (01/03/2025) - €76,446 per annum x 6 increments – €89,064 per annum. The HSE Dublin and Midlands serves a population of circa 1,077,639 providing health and social care services to communities living within Dublin West, Dublin South-West, Dublin South City, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Kildare, West Wicklow and Westmeath. Currently, approximately 30k staff work within the HSE Dublin and Midlands Region providing key health and social care services with a budget of €3 billion.
