Casual Housekeeping Assistant
Project Remit Copelands is Belfast Central Mission’s flagship project, providing market leading care for Northern Ireland. It encompasses everything needed to create a genuine home from home where residents can enjoy a fulfilling life. Copelands comprises of six households, each with 10 residents. Each household has its own front door, kitchen and living area as well as access to a communal outdoor area. The home has been designed with the differing cognitive, social, and physical abilities of the residents in mind. Our aim is to provide the best possible care to frail older people, including those living with dementia. We promote the use of familiar and recognisable surroundings and activities to stimulate residents’ memories. Visual clues throughout the design help residents with recollection to avoid confusion and increased anxiety. Additionally, it creates opportunities for staff and residents to interact more easily in activities of daily living. Scope of Responsibility As a Housekeeping Assistant your focus will be to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is kept throughout Copelands including in residents’ rooms. Key Areas of Responsibility Housekeeping • You will be ensuring that our residentìs rooms are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and that such duties are carried out in a respectful and empathetic manner, according to residentìs needs. • As part of the housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas within Copelands, cleaning stores, toilets, bathrooms, and equipment (belonging to Copelands and/or to the residents). Laundry Duties • You will help to ensure that an effective system of collecting, receiving / redistributing laundry is in place to ensure that resident’s/Copelands requirements are always met • You will ensure, when required, that all laundered items are dried, pressed, ironed, steamed, and folded. General • Your role will require you to adhere to our Health & Safety policy and procedure and where necessary, bring to the attention of management, any area, piece of equipment, standard or working practice, which does not meet safe standards. • You may assist with serving meals to residents and to ensure all areas are clean and tidy after each meal. • You will help to maintain sufficient levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and advise management on replenishing supplies.

Location : 77 Mount Pleasant Rd, Tunbridge Wells TN1 1PX. Contract Offered : Full-time, permanent Working Hours / Shifts: 8.40am to 5.20pm, alternating weekly between a Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday shift pattern. These shifts are subject to change. For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS). • Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent. • Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation. • Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments. • Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic. • Proactively drive sales and exceed targets. • Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately. • Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manager various software systems and daily tasks. Essential criteria: • Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training. • Confident using IT programmes. • Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends. • Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month. • Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship. • Valid UK driving licence Desirable: • Experience in a private healthcare setting. • Exeperience in customer service. • 2 years experience in Phlebotomy. • Sales / Retail experience.

One wing provides safe and supportive accommodation for nine residents with dementia, providing a researched approach to dementia design with a homely feel to make residents more comfortable, independent and reduce confusion Your new role You'll support the management team with daily operations, managing and mentoring staff, and the provision of individual care to residents. You will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and act as a liaison between staff, residents, and families, addressing concerns and facilitating effective communication.You'll be responsible for ensuring high quality care is being delivered whilst monitoring resource allocation, schedules, and upholding the care home's standards and policies. Chief Operating Officer
The postholder will be a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) in the Armagh Observatory and Planetarium (AOP) and will share corporate responsibility with the Director for providing strategic direction and corporate leadership for the organisation in support of its vision, mission and values. They will have a key role to play in the preparation and delivery of short and longer-term plans to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of AOP’s vibrant programmes in science and education. This will include acting as the Senior Responsible Owner for the Project Board for a major infrastructure Redevelopment Project. They will work closely with the AOP Board, the AOP Management Committee and its subcommittees, and with colleagues to maintain high standards of governance and accountability, ensuring effective stewardship of resources. The postholder will be required to represent AOP’s interests with a wide range of stakeholders and to engender sound and productive internal and external relationships in support of AOP’s business and mission.
