Key Responsibilities: The following responsibilities are core to the effective performance of all alloy wheel Technicians working at Agnew Repair Centre. Accuracy of work is a priority to maintain quality and safety standards in all aspects. We may require additional specific activities and, where so, these will be identified separately. • To carry out work provided competently and within the times laid down per unit. • The removal & refitting of wheels from vehicles on a rota basis as part of the team. • Preparation of Alloy Wheels for refurbishment • Competent use of wheel prep machinery - Blaster – Sanding – StripTanks – • Competent use of Tyre breakers – Wheel Balancers – other facility machinery • To ensure safety checks and data sheets are completed daily and accurately. • To attend training courses as directed, and to use the PPE provided to adhere to H&S requirements. • To maintain the workplace in a clean and safe condition. • To advise the Bodyshop Controller of any issues relating to safety or failure. • Prepared to work overtime during periods of high volume to meet customer orders. • To ensure vehicles in our care receive the due care and attention that is synonymous to our Group. • To make full use of specialised equipment to maximise throughput. • Refit tyre pressure sensors, balance wheels, torque wheel studs and set tyre pressures. • To ensure displaced Alloy wheels are handled with care and stored in defined areas. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Maintain a presence in the Country Park and ensure that all relevant fees have been paid for use of Country Park facilities. 2. Open and close Park gates and buildings as required. 3. Drive Council vehicles, as required. 4. Assist the Duty Manager with events and activities, assist with risk assessments and the development of safe systems of work and issue participants with appropriate and safe equipment. 5. Undertake a programme of guided rides, walks, talks and other activities to promote knowledge of and interest in the Park, its historical significance, wildlife and recreational importance. 6. Prepare, erect and dismantle equipment, including sports, stage, exhibitions and functions. Inspect equipment to ensure that it is at the required standard before use and report and record all faults. 7. Carry out routine checks of the park, including the trails, golf course, play area, fishing stands and lake and take remedial action and report defects to the Duty Manager. 8. Provide a quality customer care service through interaction with customers and deal with all queries, problems and complaints in accordance with the Council’s operating procedures. 9. Receive payments, issue receipts, reconcile monies at end of shift and carry out general administrative duties, including dealing with the completion of booking forms and income data sheets. 10. Deal with inappropriate behaviour by Park users, if necessary, in conjunction with the Park’s management, other Council departments and statutory agencies. 11. Ensure hygiene and cleanliness is maintained within the Park and facilities and lock facilities to deter vandalism and abuse of the facility and equipment. 12. Maintain Park by grass cutting, edging, weeding of flowerbeds, water/feeding, sweeping/removal of leaves, litter, fly tipping and graffiti removal. 13. Respond to incidents and emergencies. Liaise with relevant staff, and if required emergency services, to achieve a resolution and ensure all relevant health & safety procedures are followed. Administer first aid if required and trained. 14. Signpost opportunities for volunteering, where appropriate, and liaise with the ‘Friends of the Park’ group. 15. In the absence of the Duty Manager, act as the Responsible Person, supervising part time and casual staff and volunteers, on a rotational basis, as required. 16.
