The Bruach na Mara Services operate in South Connemara, Co. The Bruach Na Mara Services has a staff complement of 86 whole time equivalent staff and has an operating budget of just over €5 million. The Services were officially opened in 1983 in order to provide a community based service for individuals from the South Connemara region many of whom use Irish as their first language. Currently we provide services for 70 adults. We provide 14 locations between Furbo and Carraroe, and support people from all areas of South Connemara. The Service Coordinator, under the guidance of the Area Manager and supported by local staff teams, is responsible for the coordination and continued development of these services. Reporting/Responsible to: Area Manager/Sector Manager Qualifications/Experience: Skills: Excellent leadership, managerial and team-working skills are required to co-ordinate and support the service teams and to ensure that a range of high quality services are provided. Excellent communication and organisational skills together with up to date knowledge of current thinking and practices in person centred service delivery. Working Hours: Normal working week will be rostered on 7 daybasis including rostered weekends. Your fortnightly complement of working hours will be based on the grade of the successful candidate (Nursing/Social Care/Mgmt). Contracted hours of work are liable to change over seven days to meet requirements of the post and flexibility with regard to your hours of duty will be required to fulfil the duties of the post. An On-call commitment is an essential requirement of this post.
