This service provides an opportunity for the main carers to get a break from caring duties and enables them to refresh and to be able to continue their caring role. The successful candidate will be required to work days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and night duty to meet service needs. The Brothers of Charity Services model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. She/he will be required to work as a key worker for particular cases. The reporting relationship is to the Children Disability Network Managers. Clinical governance and Clinical supervision will be provided by the Head of Department. The Social Workers will ultimately be responsible to the Director of Services. The Social Workers will work in conjunction with other team members in a senior role co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the service user group and the objectives of the organisation and the Kerry Intervention & Disability Services. The Social Workers will be responsible for the provision of a high quality service and will carry out Social Work duties as required.
